An 80lb anvil, that is, using 1lb of black powder.

What would be the point if that? I think I saw it in a movie once but no idea why.

What is the point of fireworks? Or exploding targets?

    Big BOOMs are fun!

Pretty amazing how close to vertical it went.

If you have to ask you wouldn't understand. Kinda like making holes in paper at long range (or close range) or ringing steel.

It’s not really shooting an anvil at a drone, there just recording the content. maybe they were practicing for competition?

If one anvil in the air is fun, then lots of anvils is LOTS of fun! Pretty cool.

There should be bonus points at these events for dressing up in character.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anvil_firing

Anvil firing (also known in the USA as an anvil launching or an anvil shooting[1]) in the USA is the practice of firing an anvil into the air with gunpowder. In the UK this is where black powder is filled onto the top of the Anvil and ignited. If the Anvil did not shatter it was deemed safe to use.
