Shooting glasses foggy

I really hate hats and will try to avoid one, and I'll try the "home remedies" on the lenses and see what happens. I might do the soap on one pair and hold it in the shower and see what happens. I'll be shooting Thursday morning, so we'll see if it works at the range! If I have to wear a hat, I will, but I'm not convinced yet....maybe if a case burns my hair off?? Lol.
Maybe try just a visor?

That's been suggested, and I may have to if I get bonked on the head enough times, and get my head fried! Lol. So far, everything that's hit me hasn't hurt and I was able to ignore it.

Have you had any go down your shirt yet?
Not yet, but a couple have landed near my neckline, so I've tried to wear shirts with more coverage.
Do all guns shoot cases at the owner? Or is it just my particular one? I haven't shot it a lot, and yet I've had a lot of hits to various parts! I wasn't expecting so many!

Simple answer is no and they shouldn't . You shooting inside? or outside? The reason I ask is if its inside I've had cases bounce off of the divider walls between the shooting stations and hit me. If your shooting outside and not around something that can deflect the spent case back at you I'd say your getting weak ejection ( Slide isn't moving fast enough to properly eject the round). Other than that your gun should eject the spent case our and away from the shooter. Are you shooting low velocity rounds? if the slide doesn't have enough recoil energy it can cause poor ejection patterns on many firearms.

I'm shooting inside, but haven't heard any hitting the divider...but maybe with all the noise plus ear muffs, I wouldn't.
I'm using Fiocchi 95 gr fmj...is that low velocity? I don't see any sticker on the box saying anything about fps, like I've seen on other boxes.
I've only shot maybe 250 rounds in this gun. I've been hit....(counting)...about 8 times...is that a lot?
I'll try to pay more attention to how they might be hitting the divider, but I'm about at mental capacity for having things to remember while shooting!! Lol. And I haven't been burned by any, so I'm mostly just curious, being a new shooter.
I'll ask the coach Thursday morning if he thinks I have a problem. And if I do, how do I fix it? I don't want anything to be wrong with my favorite gun!!!
(If it helps you dx the problem, it was extremely hard to get the slide into position to take the gun apart to clean....it wanted to snap my finger off. But maybe that was the wrong direction and the problem is in the forward snap of the slide? Now I'm just confusing myself....)
I appreciate the response, and once again I see how little I know about the workings of a gun!! Lol.

I'd bet it is bouncing off the divider. Fiocchi for the most part is fairly hot ammo ( meaning fast) . The speed of the slide during rearward movement is what affects the ejection pattern. The faster the rearward movement the more forward the spent casing s go and the slower rearward slide movement the more rearward the spent casings go.

Interesting...I'll look online for one of those animated things to show me the workings of the slide...I love to see how things behave! My trainer should be able to check out how the cases are going.
PS found some animations, but they keep changing angles and I can't tell what's going on, but thanks for the explanation.

@Millie another possibility is you are breaking your wrist during recoil or anticipating recoil. Semi-auto pistols use the energy from the round firing for several processes. First, after the round fires, the energy starts moving the slide to rear unlocking the action. Next is the extraction process, removing the fired casing from the chamber. Continuing into the ejection process as the slide comes to the most reward position. Here the ejector contacts the spent casing and sends it out the ejection port. If you break your wrist or anticipate recoil moving your arms upwards the energy needed for those processes get absorbed by the body causing poor ejection, usually the casing will hit the shooter in the top of the head. Without seeing you shoot I can't say for sure that is the issue. It could be a couple issues with your pistol. However, in my experience, it is usually a shooter error causing the casing to hit the shooter or falling within a short distance of the shooter. Hope this helps.

Well, I thought I was being brilliant by pulling them down on my nose a bit, but that's how 2 cases got in behind!! Lol. No damage done, one I didn't even know was there till I was taking my glasses off. (It helped with the fog when I fanned under the glasses.) The other case I left in there till I emptied the magazine and had the time to let it drop out the bottom of the glasses! I remember being told not to wave the gun around trying to get a case off me, so I just went on.

Anxiety may play a factor, and improve as you get more comfortable.

Anxiety being a factor, as in making me sweat and fogging up my glasses?
Nope, I'm just naturally overheated, partly due to being of a certain age, and mostly because I have way too much extra "insulation" keeping the heat in! Lol. My regular glasses fog up too, but not as badly as these enclosed ones.
Also, it's been hot in the range. Every time I've been there, it's been hot and humid! Very annoying for someone who suffers in the heat. Maybe tomorrow it'll be a bit cooler....

If not a hat why not a vizor. Protection/no heat.
Thinking about it, but not ready to go for it yet. I hate stuff on my head and around my neck, so I don't wear hats and I do wear low-cut-ish shirts, which I've now replaced with higher necks to reduce the probability of boob burns. Not ready to put something on my head! That'll change the instant I get some hair fried, though!

Great idea!
Though I don't feel like I worry about the recoil, as there's not much to deal with, you're probably right!
It's the easiest gun I've shot of the many I tried! (Except the .22s, of course.)

I'll be having another lesson in the morning, so I'll ask my coach to check my arms out and see what he thinks.
Once again, you guys have given me things to consider!
I really hope it's not the gun having issues!

This is what many of the top sponsored shooters use.

I ask my Lady students to not wear low cut shirts, cause there is an extra waver they have to sign if they expect me to help them with THAT hot brass!
