So this morning Tony sets up a man-shaped target with boxes on the head, chest and pelvic areas. He tells me to start with the gun down lower than usual (forgot the term he used), then just bring it up and shoot two in the chest, then 1 in the head, then 2 more in the chest, then 2 in the junk! And to do it faster than I'm used to and not to think too much about it. Basically, he's pushing me to see what I can do, I guess. And it was my best shooting of the day! After that he had me shoot with my LEFT HAND!!! (Yeah, yeah, I know you guys do this shit all the time, but it was new to me.) And I did really well, surprised myself, but Tony wasn't surprised, he said. I shot the target and in mostly the right places.
Things kinda went back to normal low left shooting after the great start, with a few bursts of inspiration each time he let me shoot at a person-shaped target.
All in all a fantastic day, and my coach says I'm doing really well, though we still have to figure out the trigger finger placement again, and the occasional flinch.
The Blazer rounds did fine and we went thru almost 150 of them.
Now, why is the end of my barrel a funny color? That's a new thing.
PS I shot the snappy revolver at the end, and shot it well!!! Yay, I'm keeping it, because it didn't hurt me this time. I'll shoot some with it every time I go over there.
Pics to follow.
