I need to take some interns from Germany shooting on Sunday and I don't have enough time to order the ammo online.

I am looking for a place that has cheap ammo, I need:

223 rem
7.62 NATO
9 mm Luger
7.62 x 54R

I am looking for a place that has both good prices and all the calibers I need since I don't have enough time to go shopping around.

Any ideas?​
 
Academy is usually pretty good and they will have all of those calibers. It won't be the online bulk price but not bad.

They also will price match their online sales in store. It looks like the blue American eagle boxes of 223 are $6.

I know they also have monarch and tulammo in steel case if you want extra cheap.

IIRC Academy if Federal XM193 in the 20 packs for around $6 you're not gonna find bulk prices much cheaper than 30 cpr. Also the Browing 9mm 124gr should be in the 150packs still in stock in some stores.
 
How much ammo and where? Sunday isn't THAT short of notice.
You might be able to convince some of us to loan so you don't have to squeeze in shopping now.
 
You’re saying a group of interns for Germany so I’m guessing a fair amount of ammo will be needed. You say this Sunday so you do have a little time. I’m with Jeppo ... your in Raleigh area so make a quick Saturday morning run up to High Point and Outdoor Limited for the best price on the list needs and likely group amounts. Order it online and they’ll have it ready for pick up ... round trip maybe 4 hours but you’ll save money and the drive ain’t bad ... plus supporting a damn fine supplier.
 
Outdoor limited in High point or academy sports. Buy cheap steel cased 9mm and 223.

Outdoor Limited usually ships next (sometimes same) day, so you have time to order online and receive it in plenty of time. I don’t think I have ever placed an order with them that took longer than 3 days from time of order to sitting on my front porch.

Looks like Academy has what I need, I was particularly looking for steel cased 308.

Be sure and order online first before going there. Yes they have a small brick and mortar retail store attached to their warehouse but it doesn't nearly cover all the choices in the online store. They will pull your online order and have it bagged/boxed up waiting for you in the retail store however if you select 'pick up' at checkout.

I ended up driving to Academy in Apex after a quick call confirmed they had in store stock of what I needed. They even had the hi viz targets I like right next to the ammo!

It was good time at the range and two more Germans going back knowing what we really do with all our guns 99.99% of the time (you are welcome).
