Shot String

I posted this in the reloading section at the end of a post. Figured I will try here too.

At 100 yards, I was getting a vertical string that was just about 3" from top to bottom but less than 1/2" wide.

Any suggestions on what to look for?

If everything is perfect is velocity of the ammunition.

But its not, i put $$ on your breath and trigger manipulation timing being bad

What he ^^^^^^ said. Every once in a while when I'm bearing down on a good group I'm guilty of it.

Rifle butt too low on shoulder
Neck tension or too much cheek pressure
Both will make the reticle ride up.

How much will the heating up barrel cause the change of impact. This is a thinner barrel and I might have run 10 shots through the barrel in a few minutes.

Vertical dispersion is almost always breathing. I'm going with Mr. Boyette's call on this one.
