Being a good Boy Scout I was prepared for a shortage of rl components. Except for shotgun hulls, wads and shot.
A couple 3 cousins of mine in Texas are BIG into trap. They even travel to Canada to compete.

So I’m good on powder and primers but I have no idea where to start looking for the 3 items I mentioned above.

Where do y’all like to buy these at? I’d want decent quality and prices.

I don’t know about availability but I’d like to buy 1,000 hulls and wads. Shot still sold in 25 pound bags? If so I will probably buy a bag each of number eight and number four.

Thanks guys.

Hit up your local trap and skeet range. You can probably get all the free hulls you need. Also ask them about reclaimed shot. Wads check out Ballistic Products.

When I was doing some training at Ft Bragg in 14', I would hit the skeet range after a match. I am set for life with 12 ga hulls. Got over a 55 gal trash can full of Federal Top Gun hulls. Load twice and then pitch. Also have footlockers full of AA and STS hulls. Thats just the 12 ga, then there is the 16, 20, 28 and .410 hulls.

Blue Collar Reloading has a bunch of powder, shot, hulls, wads and sometimes primers. They ship from their website. Located in Salisbury, NC. They support the local Trap&Skeet range. I buy my monthly stipend there. Good folks.

Why??

If there are no cracks and they still crimp correctly you should be able to get more than two reloads on a good quality hull.
Those hulls have paper bases and I've got tons of them. Got tons of Red ones and about 50-75 each of white, pink and blue which I use for showing different loads. ie 0000 to 0 buck. Most people don't even reload those Federal TopGun hulls. I've got close to 4 55 gal drums worth of hulls (total) and only 1 shotgun.

Ah, yeah, I won't reload any that have paper, only the one piece hulls.
