I'm having surgery on my left shoulder on 8/22 to remove bone spurs. I'd appreciate your prayers to guide the surgeons hands, and for quick recovery.

Prayers for a successful surgery and complete recovery, been there done that and I can tell you it's not going to be fun.good luck

You got'em, 303. Take the pain meds and don't cheat on the therapy. You'll be better than new in no time.

Prayers your way for a successful operation and a speedy recovery.

Sure thing.

I had mine replaced and the rotator cuff repaired about a year ago.
Surgery went smooth.
Pointers -- Take the pain meds, get ahead of the pain.
Do the rehab, don't screw with this part, if you allow it to become weak, you will be truly sorry.

You got 'em.

As said already, do the P in the a-- T! You'll get back quicker if you're diligent.

Had that on my left about 10 yrs ago . As has been noted, take the meds, it might hurt a bit at first. Do the PT. It goes on for a while but it's what gets you well again.

Will keep you in prayers.

If you use that side to crank it or wipe your bum......start practicing with the other hand so there wont be such a shock factor later.
That's good advice. I'll practice both with the other hand.

I had surgery yesterday, and everything went well. Dr found a small tear in my rotator cuff and repaired it while he was in there. My nerve block is wearing off, and I'm starting to feel the pain. I'm glad it's over, and I'll be back up to speed soon.

That was the easy part. Be patient, do everything they tell you and no more.

Ugh...nerve blocks...I hate nerve blocks....

Hey, "small tear, fixed it while in there" sounds like a pretty good procedure!

Sorry about the pain... good luck & wishing you lots of stamina & perseverance getting through the PT.

You'll be healed just in time for Bow Season!

IMG_0198.JPG My wife just pulled the catheter for the pain pump out of my shoulder. There was about 6"of tubing under my skin, and it was pretty painful coming out. This is what I'll look like for the next few days.

That's what happens after the pain catheter is gone .

(I had no pain catheter, just oxys)
The catheter/pump stopped working anyway. It was still 3/4 full of medicine after 2 days, and was supposed to be empty by then. Just like normal, if something's going to break, it'll belong to me.
