This is what I did when I had a building. Since we built our house I haven’t got my building up yetI used tapcons to anchor a few 2x4's to the wall, then pounded 2 nails in to hold each tool.
I don't see where a solution was settled on.
Here's mine:
Step 1: Through all your wife's cr*p out of your tool space.
Step 2: Put all your shovels, rakes, and whatnot in your tool space where they belong.
