SiCo Saker vs Omega. Which one?

I still think the Omega is about as good of a deal as there is on a rifle suppressor. It is a solid performer across a wide range of calibers. I'll admit that mine is not used to its full potential, as it's dedicated to a PS90 SBR. But with (aftermarket) Ti ends...both a 1/2-28 DT and 5.56 flat cap...it weighs 11.5oz and is ~6" long.

It has the ability to swap from anchor brake to flat cap. To be used direct thread, ASR, YHM, KeyMo, and (with the use of an aftermarket adapter) even the older Trifecta MAAD and 51T.

Yes...there are some instances out there of the outer tube coming loose. But, it's not functional. It's there for aesthetic purposes and as a place to keep the SN. If it comes off, you or SiCo will reattach it with Rocksett. No reason to shy away from it for this reason.

All that being said...you may have no use for some of the "modularity" of the Omega. I have two of the first Sakers, with Y-Mount MAAD modules...because all my rifles have YHM QD muzzle devices. The current version is the Saker ASR. You could originally get an ASR adapter for the first Sakers, and lots of people swapped out the default mounting system for the ASR because of the number of cans being launched downrange. The ASR seems to be where SiCo has landed, as a majority of their rifle cans use this setup...Saker, Omega, Chimera, Harvester 338, Hybrid.

The Saker is also QD/DT capable, and different end caps exist. It's a solid can. I'll admit I'm not 100% up to date on the new version, but it looks to have a lot of the qualities of the first one...it just ships with ASR instead of Trifecta. I don't think it includes the DT module like the Omega does?
