SIG P320 Voluntary Upgrade

If you want to make Sig pay for the inconvenience they've caused, I've got a carton left over from my last online purchase.

That is unbelievable. So dissapointed in SW.

I received a shipping notice emailed at the same time you posted your comment. Let's see what they've sent.

I got my label on Friday. Threw it in a FedEx large overnight box and handed it to FedEx. Email says 4-6 weeks turntime and the pistol will be shipped directly back to you.

Shipped it this afternoon. FedEx employee was less than helpful. I’ll post back when I get it back. I guess I’ll go Thursday and try and find a new carry gun while this ones gone.

M&P 2.0 Compact? ;)

Are ya'll having any Buyer's Remorse yet, for having lain down good money on those "warmed-over" P250s retrofitted w/ striker kits?

Not in the least. I love my 320 it’s by far the best pistol I’ve ever had. As a matter of fact I’ve been thinking of buying another to carry while this ones gone back to sig.

@Love2shoot has one for sale.

So when we send them in do we definitely get it back with that bronze goldish trigger? Not crazy about that

I don't think you'll notice the gold trigger. Your eye will more likely be drawn to the huge piece of foam attached behind the end of the slide. :D

Shipped it off Tuesday and it arrived today at sig. I’ve seen reports of some of the first being shipped back to the owner already. We will see

Just got my email to ship it..... anyone get theirs back yet?

Mine has been there since the 19th. I’ve seen many reports of people getting them back within a week. Unfortunately I’ve not been that lucky. I’m not sure how they are prioritizing them once they arrive. I’ll post up when I get mine back.

Mine arrived on the same day. No update to this point but I will also post once it ships back to me.

I talked with Sig today. My gun has shipped. The rep I talked to really could not shed any light on how the guns are being prioritized but we both think that timing is somewhat related to caliber.

Mine is a full sized 45 ACP and I both agreed that the size and the slide mass might require more "work" than the 9 & 40.

All said and done it should be about 20 days door to door so not horrible and certainly better than 4-6 weeks.

My P320 arrived yesterday. Trigger feels great when I dry fire it. The double click is gone. Trigger is OK. It is thin and has sort of slick finish. I wish it was serrated. The trigger definitely has less mass.

On the slide when you turn it over you can see where they milled the slide for the disconnector. They did not refinish that area. This will be a good tell in the future if you are looking at a used P320. Look for that cut and the new slimmer trigger and you will know it has been upgraded.

The new guns that Sig is shipping will have that area finished. I did not get a chance to shoot it yet due to the weather.

Edited to add I just called them to ask wtf since mine was one of the first shipped in and has been there since the19th. They said they had it and that it was in line to be done.

That is the same thing I was told. The reps have no idea how they are really prioritizing them.

Also to add I just checked the trigger pull weight with my Lyman trigger pull gauge and it registered 6.6 lbs on an avg of 5 pulls. Lowest pull was 5.10.

At least they didn't try to calm you with, "Your pistol is in a big pile down at Goodwill Industries where the volunteers will be getting right on it, as soon as it reaches the top of the pile".

I reined myself in and didn't call, although my RX and caliber conversion kit have been there since Oct. 18. Last night the email arrived to print out the shipping label for my compact model. That prompted the phone call and was told both the RX and kit are complete and should be shipped in the next day or two. I'm hanging onto my compact until the first ones are back home.

Got my P320 back and got to the range today to shoot it a bit. Here is a pic of the slide where they milled it to accommodate the disconnector. The double click on the trigger is gone. The trigger is much thinner. They claim it has 35% less mass to it. Trigger still feels pretty good better than my Glock 19s. It seemed to handle and shoot about the same as it did before it went in for the upgrade. I did not drop test it. LOL

Overall I am happy with the results. I will put it through its paces and if it comes out clean like it did the first time around it will resume its roll as one of my "get home bag" guns.

So here's my P320 story. Shipped it out Oct 15th. Went to a FedEx drop location close to work. I didn't bring a box because I was reading a box was being supplied. Nope. Had to pay $7.25 no biggie. When I told the young gentleman it was a firearm he took a step back and asked if it was uncharged. I assured him it was because I had removed the battery. Got an email Monday it was shipping out. Pretty much one month.I didn't want to take a day off of work to wait and sign so here's what I did. I got the FedEx app on my phone. Waited until it had left the facility and put a "hold at location" to a Walgreens 5 minutes from the house. Tried to make a video of what I noticed about the trigger.

Man you should have just used a large white Fedex overnight box its free. That is what I used.

wow @Zbizzle911 something seems really off, I sent my Nov 1st, got it back like 3 days ago. What kind of order are they doing this in, that doesnt make sense.
There seems to be no rhyme or reason to their system. I called last week and was told it was there and that it was in the process.

I'm getting suspicious they lost my caliber exchange kit. That's a grip, slide and barrel but no fire control assembly.

Sig called me a day after the Fed-Ex package arrived at their shop and said I forgot to include the fire control assembly. It took a bunch of doing to explain they got one complete pistol PLUS an exchange kit. The next day they said they found the pistol - whew!

Last week I was told both the pistol and the exchange kit were complete and ready to ship. This week they tell me that they were wrong. Now the story is the pistol is complete but the exchange kit goes through a different work stream and it isn't done yet.

Their Customer Support guys are very good but my spidey sense is alerting that they screwed up and the kit was 'lost'.
