I got a look at one in Academy this afternoon, I like the looks of it, and the price is reasonable, but I love the Aimpoint PRO, its my preferred go-to red dot, and performance wise, it will be hard to top...

    Thanks for the help

I've got both Romeo 5 + Romeo 5XDR. They work great! Lightweight, clear, auto on/off.
I paid 139 for the Romeo 5 (2 moa dot only), and 249 for the Romeo 5XDR (2 moa dot with 65 moa circle).
I am very satisfied with both of them.

The micro red dots are made by the same Chinese vendor Holosun is. I have 2 Holosuns and rate them above my good old PA Micro Dots and on par with my older Aimpoint T1. I will say I still have my older T1 (4MOA dot) on my main HD carbine because I Aimpoint’s trust level is proven. If you choose their “CirclePlex” reticle you get the Eotech circle/dot setup which works quite well but you can also fall back on the good old Aimpoint 2 MOA red dot setup with button switching. I love my Aimpoint but my Holosuns are really getting my attention so the rebranded Sig Romeos should be very good also.

I got the romeo5 from academy when they had sig week plus 20% off for $100. Love it. Clear glass and the auto on/off is very cool.

It says 50,000 hours but I'm nowhere near to know for sure. Types of batteries and other factors can play into it but I think it's beyond my needs.

It comes with 2 mounts including a co witness mount. I use it for an AR pistol though so haven't tested it out.

Battery life is great thanks to the Motac instant on and auto off system.

Mine absolute cowitnesses perfectly with Magpul mbus sights.

Hands down the best $150-250 red dots on the market

Don't know much about SIG optics but the Army is contracting for the SIG Tango for their designated marksman rifle.

Motac is the auto on/off tech for the Romeo5.

You can't beat it for the money. I used purple Loctite 222 to keep it from coming loose.
