I'm still waiting for mine to discharge without the booger hook to bang switch being depressed. Same thing with all my firearms. Maybe some LEOs need to learn the 4 rules of gun safety again?

I did the Voluntary Upgrade just so I can get an Apex trigger later.

I know about the frame flex issue when dropped, but what in the design allows it to discharge while sitting? It's striker fired, right? Firing pin does not have sufficient energy until trigger is pulled (or dropped from sufficient height), right? Or do I not understand it's design?

I don’t believe for one second that that dudes pistol just went off in his pants without him touching the trigger at all. He was either playing pocket pool with the gun or had it in some kind of cheap holster that allowed the trigger to be pressed.

funny that the .mil has been handing these out and there's no big hub-bub about it. They have the same basic design as the P320 in the M17 and M18, and the 'recall' basically installs the .mil triggers in all P320s that had the 'drop-bang' issue.

BTW it wasn't frame flex, it was the fact the trigger was heavy enough to move back just slightly and disengage the drop safety.

Seems just to be an issue for LEOs.........guess I'll cancel that Community College BLET program sign-up for safety's sake.

Not crazy about striker fired guns but have 2. Wish Smith or somebody would a 45 like their 380 Bodyguard. DAO with restrike capability.

Oh, I thought it also had to do with frame/slide flex allowing the striker to release. Things like this are usually perfect storm stuff or otherwise tolerance stacking. I haven't been following too close, cause I'm not planning on getting one anyway. Mostly academic for me.
