anyone here have one. Thinking of picking one up its full sized and numbered, supposedly only 300 but heard the full size they made more. It has not been shot, I don't plan on shooting it. More of a safe queen/ collection.

I don't see that being a collector piece but who am I to judge. Lol

They have one at triangle shooting Academy. I didn't see or look for the price, but if they're close you might want to check them out.

Sig made a limited run production with "1 of 300" markings on the slide. They must have sold well, because they made more without those roll marks. Also comes in a compact size and P238 model.

The finish is one of the most beautiful I've seen, next to Turnbull. Sig reportedly sent it out as they don't refinish the Spartan series themselves.

I know it's probably a small amount of collectors that would want and pay for that. I would be getting it for a decent price not the 1397msrp listed on the Sig site.

The early ones had the number right on the side this one is part of the serial number

Aside from the unique finish, it's just another Sig 1911. Still a very pretty one.

You will like them. Though some purists will argue they aren't true 1911's, it's a minor detail to me. Shoot it once, then put it away. ;)

Don't get me wrong. What I meant by that was that I'd get it, then shoot the pee out of it. I just couldn't let it be a safe queen at all...

Sigs are addictive

That would be the hard part. I got a para and a ruger 45 1911 So what's one more. I probably will shoot it, I say that I would not buy why lie to myself. Lol

I have a close friend who is an adjunct instructor at Sig. He is by here at least once a month for a tune-up. He said when Sig is hosting a group for training they will have everything they make laid out for you to shoot in class. He said they will let you use anything BUT a 1911 platform in training. Their reason...we will not wait for you to catch up from Malfs. I have no dog in this fight, as I own some Sigs, just reporting.

It is an instant collectible. No real collector value. They are not any different than any other Sig 1911 beyond the finish. I have never been a big fan of any external extractor 1911s.

I have (2) identical... one I shoot like hell and the other is just put up "never fired" of the +500 rounds through my shooter, I've had ((2) Malfs.. that were really my fault
