H189 was retitled "Freedom to Carry Act", but it's essentially the same bill with an education requirement that Speaker Moore insisted on at the last minute.

This is a one time class taken during your lifetime, exactly equivalent to the current CCH education program, but no further requirement for any certificate or evidence that you have to carry with you.

The bill was pulled at the last minute by Speaker Moore on Wednesday May 3rd and is being worked on by the bill sponsor Keith Kidwell. Using a rules procedure, it continues to be pursued this legislative session.

Over 2,000 citizens have already signed the petition supporting passage of this bill in NC. Make sure NC politicians hear your support now. They certainly have been hearing from the opposition who made it clear they think they've "won" by delaying your civil rights.
