Looking for a good first can but the mask is on backorder. What would be the next best one to look at. It would be used on a keltec p17

You do know any SS dealer can add something to that system out of their local stock, right? Not sure who you normally use, but it might be worthwhile to check with a few within an hour or so if you.

For rimfire my main suggestion is to stick with steel baffles. They’re easier to clean and are ultrasonic bath compatible. The downside is they’re a smidge heavier than aluminum baffles but they’re worth it.

I own a dead air mask, rugged oculus and TacSol ascent. All perform excellently. My mask gets the most use. The oculus modularity is nice if one plans to use it on a rifle as the shorter configuration works about as well on a rifle. On a pistol the longer configuration is noticeably quieter.

Also, just because something isn't in SS doesn't mean a dealer can't process through ss for you. it just costs a little extra for them to add it in.
