Well, if the statue and the history of that school were so, Gosh Darn, offensive to them they should have simply gone somewhere else. Complaining after the fact carries ZERO credibility. It’s like going to a restaurant, ordering the most expensive steak, eating it, and then demanding a refund because it wasn’t done right.

How many current athletes are there? 1,000? Just a guess as I have no clue or care to know, much less the yearly total student number. So let’s say 10% of the current students atheletes signed this...

But wait it includes former SA’s as well. So let’s say that 1,000 each for a decade. 10,000 total SA. 100 signed. So 1% between current and former..... At the made up numbers I guessed at.

So somewhere around/between 90-99% of current and former student athletes either don’t support this or don’t give a crap....

Why is this even a statistic worth considering?? IMO it’s NOT. It’s never a good idea for a minority (much less a significant one like here) to be the reason for any kind of dynamic change to the whole...


For me this whole fiasco around the country amounts to a group reserving a room at a honky-tonk bar and then being pissed that the establishment can’t readily cater to playing Beyoncé or Justin Beaver.

That is a consideration because wealthy former athletes donate a lot of money to the school. At Syracuse Carmello Anthony gave about $20million when they built their new practice facility. Follow the money as they say.
