There will be a Sixshooters Gun show at the Stanly County Fairgrounds next weekend. Promoter's attorney and the local government say it falls under the retail exemption to the governor's executive order. They will have to keep the crowd inside at 50% of the building's rated capacity, have one-way aisles, and some other measures.

We went ahead and signed up. Will be interesting to see how things go. It could be dead, or it could be wide open. Anyone's guess at this point.

Anyone else gonna take a chance and spend $5 to check it out? $4 if you use the coupon at their website...

Since I attended the ā€œLASTā€ NC gun show, I wouldnā€™t mind attending the next one. But, itā€™s about 2.5 hours round trip for me so I think Iā€™d like to wait until you tell us what you see during the setup. ;)

Show is still on!
Yesterday, at Mid South, one of the staff said, ā€œI wonder when gun shows are gonna start back upā€. I said, ā€œI believe thereā€™s gonna be a smaller one this weekend or nextā€. He told me that was impossible, even when I explained that a friend had already booked tables. ;)

Do they usually have a vendor selling powder?

I can't express my displeasure enough at the pieces of dog squeeze that caused the Fayetteville shows to not have powder inside/@ the show.

PLEASE update us tomorrow night about how it's looking
Albemarle is about an hour away, but might be worth me driving down

Usually, there is a reloading dealer at Sixshooter shows. He is well stocked with powder and primers.

I'll report back tomorrow with what I see and try to report Saturday morning, as well.

@cubrock
Who can I contact to see if there's anymore space for a vendor?

Sent you a PM with his name and number, though it is probably the same info at the link Jeppo posted.

I've sent him a text, as well.

Have contacted and heard back, we'll see where it goes from here.
Steve, thanks so much man, such a good dude!

I donā€™t know if Iā€™ll be able to resist going. If I go, Iā€™ll have a Volquartsen-ized Ruger MKII with me. Trying to finance gunman35ā€™s Model 60

Looking like I might have a table. And might tow a friend and his two tee designs too. Maybe. He's on here as well.
But it'll get me out of the house and maybe make a few bucks extra!

Sweet! Look forward to seeing everyone.

Reloading guy will NOT be here. His son had to go into the hospital.

coupon says not valid on shows that are $5 entry fee. Still...almost half what the C&E charges and that's if you slide by the Reptards at the Cabarrus Arena charging parking. I will never darken the door of that one again.

@cubrock - is it looking good over there today?
I'll be there tomorrow morning.

Is it 9-5?

Strange that this show isnā€™t even listed on his website. o_O

The county made him cut his tables so that aisles are 8' wide. Have to maintain that social distancing. So, there will be 85ish tables. There are at least five FFLs set up, all with a number of guns. Two ammo dealers along with ammo at some other tables. One private guy who used to have a gun shop. He has a lot of ammo and guns, including some really nice pieces you don't see every day (NIB OD Green PS90 with tri-rail receiver, NIB FN FS2000, etc.). A kydex holster dealer (got her to make me one this afternoon while I waited). Osprey Global (optics dealer). Can't remember who else, off the top of my head. Not every one was there for setup this evening. Some are coming in the morning.

There may be one more FFL dealer coming who usually has all used guns running the gamut from hunting to milsurp.

Sheriff's department stopped by to talk to the promoter. Everything checked out and they said they hope we have a great show. They had already had some people call in complaints and expect a lot more tomorrow.

Was that cutting of tables done today or beforehand?
I just hope he still has space for me before I drive out there!

Just shot him a message (well, as I was typing the last message) and said something about 'excited to work one of your shows!, see you around 7:45"
Got a thumbs up reply, so I guess Im good!!
Awesome!

Yeah, the cutting of tables was done prior to your sign up.

Decent turnout, under the circumstances. Steady crowd most of the day, it never hot close to the max number allowed. First couple hours had a lot of people there just to get out of the house. Later in the morning, people started spending money, mostly on inexpensive guns and a bit of ammo. A few there were obviously spending stimulus money. One guy dropped a couple grand between two tables. Ought several Milagros, a couple pistols, and a ballistic vest. Didnā€™t buy any Ammo, though. He was looking for 8X50R ammo, which was not to be had at this show.

I like this show/promoter
No, not a huge show, but I was surprised by the turnout.
I think tomorrow could be even better too

How was today? I wanted to go but we are in house sale moving mode. I will definitely catch their next one

Smaller crowd today, but still not horrible, given the circumstances. I like the venue. When he isn't required to have 8' aisles, he can get over 100 tables in there. I'll likely try it again. We had a good time and made a little money.

I made some money, talked to some great folks. Had a good time.

Im glad that I went and liked the way Joe ran his gunshow!
