Sixshooters will have a show at the Stanly County Fairgrounds this weekend. Will have between 80 and 100 tables, depending on the county’s social distancing requirements. Though his shows are small, he usually has a much higher percentage of gun related tables than the larger shows, and he strives to have variety in his dealers.

We will be there and will do our best to give reports through the weekend. Anyone else going?

Have they had a show since the mask mandate changed? How’d they handle it? That will determine if it try to make it to look for some ammo I want. I’m not seeing a statement on their website like the other company had.

Theyve had several shows @BW, and I'll echo my boy Steve - they're good shows.
Smaller than, say, CE, btu cost less and have BETTER tables.
I did two of his shows this year and TOTAL between the two there were 3 tables of non-gun/gun related stuff there.
Like shirts - he only has ONE vendor per show for tees and wants to make sure they're gun related etc
No salsa or pickles or fur brushes
But, sadly, taser person is always there CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK CLACK

Yes, they have had at least two shows since the mask mandate. They are assuming you have a medical exemption if you don't wear one.

Sixshooters is a small, family operation. Joe, his wife, and his two younger boys are the work crew and they do everything from advertising to set-up to taking money at the door. They don't keep their website updated as well as the larger promoters, but they have a great excuse. They are some of the hardest working people I know.

Remember...I saw you at one of their shows. :p

Salisbury, but I think that was a couple weeks before the rules changed.

Joe was my favorite vendor at the Greenville NC show. Broken Clays is where I bought my first couple of handguns from. Saw/visited with him at the Sixshooters Rocky Mount show. Very good people!

What are you selling?

Mostly collector pieces.... a 1917 SW Da45, Winchester model 53 25-20, Stevens 1915 Favorite, Dutch Royal Airforce Luger, Colt Cobra, Ruger Super Single Six, some parts, holsters and likely a few other guns depending on the crowd

Bump into it to the tip. Anyone else coming?

Somebody on my wife’s Facebook just posted that this was a well-attended show. Lt Gov Dan Forest was even there. I guess I should have been there

Huge crowd up until early afternoon and fairly steady after that. It was uncomfortably busy.

Dan Forrest was outside for a couple hours this morning. They were handing out hand fans with his name on them. Saw a TON of people inside with them.

Ammo was the big seller, especially 9mm. Brass cased ball is up to $25 a box of 50 and some dealers sold out at that price. 5.56 is 60 cents per round and up.

Surprisingly, ARs sold fairly slowly. A number of people are looking at them, but aren’t making the leap to buy one. Many of them are new gun buyers, or at least new AR buyers. LOTS of these folks asking questions about them, but not spending the money. We sold only two ARs all day.

Two of the bigger dealers there have less than half their stock left. One probably less than 20% of what he brought. He had the only quantity of new defensive handguns, including several Glocks. Most of that is sold now.

Based on that...probably not worth my time to ride out there to look for the Hornady 300 Blackout/Whisper supers I’m looking for, or any FN 5.7. :(

Only one guy has 5.7 and it is expensive SS192. He still sold a good bit.

Didn’t see any .300 BLK at all.

The wife and I rode by around 10:30 am but saw the crowd and kept going. Saw Dan’s bus out front. I’ll be over that way again in the morning and look forward to seeing some folks. Not looking for anything in particular but I’m always a sucker for steel 6 shot snubs and classic 44 specials.....

Make sure you stop by Catawba Collectibles and introduce yourself. We’ve emailed and talked in forums enough it is high time we shake hands.

It was an honor to finally meet you guys. Steve, that was one nice 2nd Model HE. I had to get outta there quick!! You see, my better half knows when I give a fine weapon “The look” and she’s a faithful enabler.

The feeling is mutual. Great to finally meet you.

That 2nd Model is a looker. I would keep it, but I have a much rattier shooter already. LOL

Enjoyed meeting a few folks from here and being able to pass a good deal on to a fellow member. The organizer Joe is a stand up guy and I will be doing more of his shows in the future!
