We have an open "slough" in a swamp that was cutover last year and it gets quite low in the summer but never completely dries out. I've noticed a bit of smartweed coming in along with what looks like a dense stand of sedge that is choking everything out. Is there anything I can spray that will kill the sedge and leave the smartweed? We were thinking of killing everything and planting millet but if we could get a good stand of smartweed established it would solve a lot of problems and save a ton of money.
