Took this beauty out and dirtied her up today, love getting them all dirty and cleaning them up again. I've owned this sweet shooter for a couple years now. Put 250 rounds through her today. 100 rounds of 158 grain LSWC 357 magnum hand loads with 2400, and 150 rounds 158 grain LSWC 38 special handloads with titegroup. I'll tell you what, it may be a big ole N Frame 357 magnum, but 100 rounds of "stout" hand loads in 357 magnum is about all you want before switching over to 38 specials for some fun.

While they look absolutely stunning all prettied up and in the box... they are down right sexy with soot around their curves at the range...

I usually burn up my time with 9mm & .45 ACP, then a couple wheels of .357, 1 or 2 of .44, then back to .357. I rarely break into a second box of 50.

Your short barrel and wooden grips surely make yours a little wilder than mine (5" 686-6 pc).

Yours is a beautiful piece of work. I want to put wooden grips on mine but my right thumb begs me not to.

As soon as you mention right thumb pain I know your familiar, that's exactly where it starts getting to me, the proximal thumb joint takes a beating.

Those grips are beautiful. But for Magnums, gimme some Pachmeyer condoms.
If imma do much in the Magnum realm, well, I do, but if Imma do much with this gun with Magnums I'm gonna have to change the grips, these honestly do hurt, you wouldn't think they would in a big ole N frame, but with the short barrel they put a pretty good hammer down on your hand and thumb.

Had those grips on that version in, .357, .44 mag and .45acp. They all hurt my hand too. Right in the web. Key word in first sentence was HAD. They look great at a BBQ though.

I'd love a 44 in this barrel length, or 3 inch, the classifieds currently are insanely priced on revolvers though, almost all are listed way way over actual value and worth. Looking for a 357 magnum 3 inch as well, same thing, all overpriced, if I'm going to pay a new price for your "used but unfired revolver", I'll just buy a new one.

I'm with you on this one.
