I recently bought a used GMC pick up, thinking I might sell my Nissan Titan.
Well they both have the same month inspection date. And I put the titan sticker on the GMC plate.
Now I have one truck with out of date tag, and the other with the wrong sticker on it. I'm sure this will
be fun to straighten out.

Are you saying someone may have stolen your plate sticker???

No, I apparently put both stickers on the GMC, with the Nissan sticker being last.
I'm a dumbass.
Both trucks are paid up on taxes, and I have up to date registrations for both.

I would just sell the truck that is missing the sticker. If you don’t see the truck you won’t remember your an idiot.

That’s what I tell myself.

If Basil can’t see his truck he won’t remember he is an idiot.

Obviously I am joking.

Sell the truck with the sticker because it will sell easier.

Read his comment again and say oooohhhhh I see.
I get what you are saying, but if I am ever stopped, and the GMC sticker has the tag # for a Nissan, I will be detained. :(
As much as I hate the Racket, I like to not draw attention.

He's saying call dmv and sat someone stole your sticker. They will get you a replacement.

I doubt they're checking the sticker itself (plate number on the sticker) as long as the plate checks out ok
But do whate the others have suggested and worry not about it

That's what I plan to do, I just hate standing in line behind a bunch of foreigners.o_O;)
Go to the Siler City DMV, you’ll be out in 10 mins tops. Worth the drive

Tag offices aren't the same as the DMV, you can usually get through pretty quick.
You haven’t been to the tag offices in Greensboro

If you want to move the sticker to the correct plate, I think a hair dryer would work to loosen the glue and you should be able to peel it off and transfer it.
It's worked for me on other applications.

Drive it and forget about it. If pulled the truth will satisfy most LEO'S and for those that don't tell them to look it up on their fancy computers, that's what all our tax money is supposedly being spent on, the new improved world where all is known.

We lost the new registration for our truck last year. Called the dmv and they sent a new one with no new sticker. Never had a problem. This year I don’t have a clue where the new registration or sticker is but I know everything is paid up. I’ll deal with it if I get pulled, if not I’ll get a new one next year.

I woulda just let it ride lol. You have the current registration in the correct vehicle.

If they manage to look close enough to see the tag numbers dont match and pull you (why are they stalking you so much that they can see those 1/8th tall letters?) Show the current, correct registration card, play dumb, and move on with life:)

Last time I was there it took 2 hours, I also thought that there drivers license office would be quick, got there at 7:30 left at 4:00
I went in right before dad got sick last summer and did three title swaps and got new tags for three vehicles and it took me 20 mins

I renewed my registration online. It took 2 min and no DMV trip.

Cue the "its a miracle" nun!

Easy peasy except they geared the style of the online site for 4 year olds mentality (which may be appropriate these days)
I equate the new system to a teenage girl texting on a phone. I refuse to use it and go to my local DMV to get tags/renewals. Plus I think they tack on an additional $3 for using the online system.

Any time i see a convenience fee i look for another way to pay thats cheaper. Thats often cutting them a good ol fashioned check and and letting the mailman deliver it.
