Things we know so far:
  • Will be called the "PS9 DAGR" and is G19-sized
  • Starting price $299
  • Base model will have metal three-dot sights
  • Barrels will have conventional rifling
  • Mostly Gen 3 compatible
  • Options will include RMR cuts, threaded barrels with higher sights, and a "modular optics system"
  • No word yet on a version that will take Colt-style stick mags
  • Expected March uhhhh maybe June 2020.
Will add more to this post as info is revealed.

Do you have a source on this?

Looks like they need to hire some more employees.

So they're claiming they're making

1> Several new AK's
2> an MP5 clone
3> That "JACKL" thing
4> Glocks?

Keep in mind the Mp5 was "revealed" in 2018. The AK's they're showing this year at Shot were also "revealed" last year at Shot. Maybe in 2022 we'll have the Jackl and the Glocks.

I saw that on Instagram earlier. Where did you see the price? I was trying to find more info on them but couldn’t.

That PS9 looks like a lot of bang for the buck at $299 if the quality and reliability is close to a Glock. Hopefully there is a model in the works with an RMR cut. I will be interested to see the initial reviews from actual customers. I would definitely be in for a couple if it proves to be a reliable.

inb4 Glock sues them.

I was thinking the same thing. Although PSA can’t be that stupid, I would think they either paid Glock and got this cleared, or have enough differences in the design to prevent them from being sued.....although that thing looks just like a Glock 19.

If the whole gun is $300, wonder if they'll sell the complete slide for $200? Would totally transform the poly80 market.
That would be a budget friendly start to a polymer80 build. I hope the optic cut slide keeps the rear sight as shown in the above post.

I'm in even at $349.

What is the JACKL?

What is the JACKL?
Something that’ll steal more of your lunch money, and beer money, and make you wish you had more ammo money.

Monolithic bufferless longstroke piston AR upper w/ 3-position adjustable gas that works with any standard lower. Avail in .223 & .300BLK.

In before the recall. :p

Cause weren’t their Ak’s and other new releases so perfect from the start?
Can’t argue with you there but gosh I hope they’ve learned from their mistakes in 2018/19. I feel like they’ve been beat up a different way every day for their quality mishaps, so it would be a shame if they didn’t learn from that.

I’m just trying to remember the race to the bottom that gave us a better product.

So they took the hinged trigger everyone hates on the M&P, kept the grip hump many object to, brought back a finger groove we were finally rid of, and it looks like maybe lowered the beavertail.
Nice price point I guess. I'd probably save up a few more dollars and find another M&P.

Have they run out of protection? Like everyone makes AR15s, 10/22s, etc...
I have to imagine the Gen3 and prior IP has expired so the general design is public domain. There are others who make Glock slides and such, PSA is just the first to make a clear copy of the complete firearm.

maybe they’re going to go for the Keltec business model. Offer a whole bunch of stuff only make limited runs of everything employee after market prices

The fact that the AK-V is frequently sold out doesn’t seem to be hurting them at all.

I looked last night and almost every version of the AK-V is in stock for once. The only thing keeping me from buying one is they are all $80-$100 more than they were when they released the gun. At the original price point, it was a no brainer. Probably still is, but I have to get over my mental hang up that for not too much more money, I can have the real Kalashnikov design.

Looking at the frame, doesn't use the Glock locking block nor trigger design. More like a P80 locking block if not patented. Cut in bottom of grip is to rip mag out, another feature that isn't Glock. Stainless steel recoil spring guide and if standard rifling in barrel. Great for lead reloads. I would be very tempted at 300 bones.

They should’ve started with a 22LR model that comes standard with a threaded barrel and 15rd mags. ;)

Ha! :D

I'm calling it now ... this WILL put a noticeable dent in Glock sales.

Even if PSA's Gen 1 Gen 3 is buggy, they will get it right quickly. And they will sell every one they make.

Glock will either drop their MSRP or get rid of MAP - at least for the models PSA is directly competing with.

Dude...hush...that was my angle...no possibility of having to actually follow through...

And...the Boogerliers only use the finest in Anderson and Condor gear...get with the program. PSA isn't elite enough for my brave comrades in pewpew.
