I thought this was an idea (not sure if it's a good one) for something one of you talented members could do better/cheaper using brass that couldn't be reloaded anymore. It appears to be legit as opposed to a 4/1 posting.

$25 seems too much for what it is.

If @thecarman wants to take a crack at it, I'll buy one just for giggles.

Use the tip of your, well, you know.

If it’ll reach :D

I have several “keys to the city of Winston” at the foundry that must have been cast years ago. Similar shape, but fancier. I’ll get a pic this weekend. :)

@thecarman , if you can copy something like that I will buy a couple...

Was literally just thinking about something like this over the past week. Been keeping a stylus in my pocket but want something to help with doors too...

They've been making these sorts of things for years, plastic too.

I'll also buy one... I have fresh boxes of girls scout cookies still ready to go! I know you like cookies...

I think brass has enough copper in it to get the same benefits, FWIW.

It does, but you have to keep it clean. The salts in human sweat negate the anti microbial effect. Copper is better, but has the same weakness.

I find it far more convenient to have a servant follow me around than to have a doohickey to open doors. We’ve got record unemployment, find yourself a freshly minted phd in women's studies and pay him or her min wage to do these things and to keep everyone else away from you.

i can’t believe this guy raised over $200k for a glove or tissue replacement.

That's cute, but you have to remember that now you have a contaminated object you're carrying around in your pocket.

What do you use to get the ink off the screen?

Quick mock up. Finger hole is 0.875"

I would prefer copper and I would like the top edge to go past the finger hole about 1 ½" at the same thickness of the hook to wrap a finger around for leverage if needed...

That said, D, if you want to run these off I'll take a couple today... Even if it's brass...

@Djstorm100 what materials could you do? And what are we looking at per the cost per material. I might be down for a couple too

The only materials I don't run in my machine are cast iron, carbon fiber and graphite. Before I quote for material, need to settle on a design. I'm guessing at the dimensions here
Would happly send a step file for anyone that wants to print one out.

So just keep a dozen pennies in your pocket.

Throw away when you’ve touched something with them. Cheap insurance.

Let the sucker who picks them up decide whether that was a good-luck thing to do.
Forget Tactical Pocket Sand!

Use Tactical Pocket Pennies, then throw them at anyone who gets too close!

Whatever you guys decide on is good for me. I'd buy a couple of these on day 1 as well. It could be like a CFF Challenge Coin for your key ring!

I like this design! I'd be up for getting one in copper, aluminum or brass.

Just curious, why want you run cast iron in your machine?

Edited for clarity
