I always walk away a little smarter after visiting CFF.When you skin them out/butcher them, just remove the scent glands and you’re good to go.
Battered/fried they’re quite tasty...on its own, I like it better than rabbit or squirrel.

Yep!! My grandmother used to fry 'em up for us! Delicious and NO JOKE! We'd bring 'em in from the field, dress 'em and she would soak them in a little cold brined water for a few hours. The ones we were hunting were eating nothing but fresh clover all day. All dark meat and all delicious! I guarantee that dang chicken is "dirtier" meat than groundhog is. I think its pretty close to rabbit actually.Ya’ll fry ‘em up and eat them?
