Anyone know of a source for extra large rifle cases? My LR rifle measures 54 inches and with the scope it is 11 inches from top to bottom. So I'm looking for something in the 56 plus inches outside dimensions that will hold a large scope too.

Thanks SPST but from the dimensions it looks a bit tight.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I'm going to check what is available and go from there. :) đź‘Ť

You guys are great!

60", but hefty price...

@Me. , I have a handful of old exercise and yoga mats that I fold up to lay on so I don't have to roll that out and lay on it in the mud. Not a tactical color, lol, I also have one in a blue/green and a light gray.

After much shopping, I’ve decided**..... ^^^ This is the “buy once, cry once” option.

That said, if time is on your side, you can cruise Craigslist and FB marketplace (maybe a WTB ad) for keyboard cases.... COVID has brutalized the gigging musician field.

**not that it’s my decision to make :D :D :D
Wow! Now that's a case!

I measured the darn thing again this morning. IMG_20210401_121404774.jpg

🤣 Right at 19 pounds with the scope. You get to shoot and work out at the same time. I'm still working up a load. .284 Win.

I had a brain fart on the last round and ended up with a flyer. I knew as soon as I pulled the trigger it was going high. 🤬 I'm really trying to conserve components so I'm squeezing out as much data as I can on every round. Velocity was 2820 with an SD of 4.2. (I sight in at 200). I talked to the smith that put on the barrel and he told me not to worry that it will do better (????? WTH). I have less than 40 rounds down the tube.

Hope that helps you make make a decision. You would have minimal cushion at the muzzle and butt......however these are the sturdier parts of the rifle.

There is a small gap between the foam and the plastic.........im almost positive it would fit, but no foam on either end. The 60 inch case posted above would be a safe bet, but it aint cheap!!

If you are looking for another soft case option, I have one of these:

Shows a 55 incher. Mine is the 51 inch and measures 50.5 on the inside. Have had it a couple years and works well for me.

I have a couple of these. Good quality and they are on sale.

I just bought one of these Friday from Harbor Freight. $164 to $119 Special Value. I have another one too.. that holds another rig. I have 2 Pelicans and I will admit maybe are a bit better... but not $200 better.

51" inside length.... that is why I tend to get these if I get a long gun in.

If you are ever near Charleston SC, theres a place off Dorchester Rd, in N Charleston that has a .gov contact destroying contents of cases with military supplies. They sell the empty Pelican cases. Last time I was over there, I got 4 cases for $200, three of which were extra large boxes. You can look thru what they have available. Some have foam cutouts for AR style rifles. Bring a tissue, everything in the cases have to be destroyed. Looking at piles of ACOG cases, knowing the contents were crushed will bring a tear to your eyes. They advertise of FB marketplace when they have an over stock of them
