Spartan Safe in Concord.

I had a large Liberty Safe on order with these guys and it looks like they have gone out of business (or at least no longer have a relationship with Liberty) taking a large chunk of my money (4K) with them. Anyone else in the same boat?

Sorry, I couldn’t figure how to copy the news link, but I read Spartan Safe of Kernersville has filed for bankruptcy. I hope none of our family and friends lost money with them.

If you purchased it with a credit card, you might try disputing the charge with your bank. I don’t like credit cards but use them for large purchases for the added buyer protection. Then pay it off one the item is in my possession and there no issues.

I did use a credit card and like you I usually do for large purchases. This will be the first time I've tried to go back and get my money back. We shall see. It was ordered on 7/2/22

is there a way to find out if they had bankruptcy insurance? Lots of companies do and you’ll get your money back, just have to jump through a few hoops

Guy I know got a letter last week from the bankruptcy court saying assets had been recovered and they would be determining distributions or some such. I think his attempts to resolve through his bank are on hold til that all shakes out.

Nope. It's been way too long since I purchased it for them to refund my money. I special ordered the thing (traditional mechanical lock vs electronic) and had to pay in full for it back in July of 2022.
