Spring Forward ‘24

I changed the oil on the mower today. It's easier when the weather is comfortable.
Tomorrow maybe I'll change the oil on the generator. It's a messy job, that's why I put it off today.

I get the unique multi time shift experience this week.

We left Ft Lauderdale on a cruise ship and it was EST

Approaching Aruba early this morning we shifted an hour ahead to Atlantic STD Time.

When we sail back this weekend we’ll shift back to EST

We get home Sunday just in time to spring forward to DST.

I'd like to think that this will be the last time we adjust the clocks. But getting .GOV to do something that the people actually want is just a pipe dream. Maybe someone could slip it into the next bill to approve another 50 billion to the Ukraine.

Day time. Night time. All you need to know.

While I have no idea if this was a legit quote from a Native American. But every day lights saving time makes me laugh when I think about it.IMG_7874.jpeg

my wife has started doing this thing where she gets up super early.
i do not
on my days off i'll be lazy until afternoon, and then work until the sun is setting. otherwise i'll burn myself out, dehydrate, and forget to eat.
so, i guess she's gonna have to get used to coming outside in the evening sun to say goodnight.

it already happened yesterday. i didn't come in until 630 because i knew she was gonna be getting ready for bed soon!
