I've been looking into getting a 1911 in the collection. I don't have one and actually not really a fan of the 1911 platform. But, a collection isn't complete without a Glock, AR-15, a big revolver, and a 1911. And I don't really want a $2000 example. So I've been looking at this. Anybody have any experience with the Springfield Ronin?

I have one in 9mm and I absolutely love it. It did not have a legendary 1911 trigger when I got it, but after a simple gunsmith trigger job it is now everything I expected out of a 1911. From all I have read, you can't go wrong with Springfield 1911s for the money.

And here I thought we was friends. Turns out I don't even know who you are. šŸ¤£ you definitely NEED a 1911 in the collection. And please when you get one get it in the right and only caliber that is acceptable. And it's not 9mm or 10mm or anything other then 45acp. Springfield is a good choice good quality and price isn't crazy like some of the others on the market.

Of course it would be in 45 acp. Anything else is sacrilegious.
