It's the first step to becoming a Starting Strength coach.
My hat's off to you OP. I could never get over the cost when I personally don't want to be a coach. I would love more instruction from a coach though.
Are you thinking of becoming a SSC?

I watch all the videos from Rip and the Starting Strength channel. I am a member on the forums although I don't participate.
I am a sometime-contributing member at the barbell medicine forums. I took instruction on the main lifts from a SSC last year but I am not currently being coached.

You can get certified as a coach at these seminars, but I won't be doing that. Still a lot to learn.

I know, it's crazy expensive. I've been debating it for quite some time, but finally decided to pull the trigger.
As to becoming a coach, not sure on that one yet. It would be a lot of fun, but I have a long, long way to go before I would know enough to give advice to anyone about fitness.
