Storage Food Review: Canned Beef Stew Taste-Off - Round 1!

This is the first round in the Great Canned Beef Stew Taste-Off!
Canned beef stew is one of the most popular foods to store when just getting started in prepping. We will be taste tasting every brand I can find to determine the best tasting brand just as we did for the canned chili taste-off.

Armour Classic Homestyle 20oz (Walmart)… 2.08
Great Value 20oz (Walmart)……………..1.74

Mmmm.....reminds me of when I was really poor. 2 or 3 pieces of bread on a plate, covered with instant mashed potatoes and topped with canned beef stew. My interest would be the one with the least salt. I despise salt.

True, a lot of salt is bad for us now but in a long term SHTF situation it will probably be a good thing.

Nice, I watched one of your chili rounds too. Thanks for doing this, it's good info. One thing I think would also be useful is to show a shot of the nutritional information on each can. For example between the Armour and Great Value beef stews, which one had more calories? That is an important consideration I would give as much weight as taste. The Armour had thicker gravy so I'm guessing it had more? Also being able to see the vitamin content is useful for planning balanced nutrition, it's not always obvious which vitamins are in which foods.

I do include scans of the labels at the end of each review video which includes the nutritional info.

Oh my, very sorry. I admit I "speed watched" them sort of like I do most things of this sort. Great work and again thanks for providing the service.
