Many of you have probably seen this video and found it interesting given how dark your safes usually are.

I will confirm, it really is as easy as he says and OMG is my safe super bright now!! I used the same exact items in his links but ended up grabbing T pins from WM for $2.50. I have about 2ft overlap in the LED strip in my 28gun Liberty but I didn't bother trimming it.

Here it is before and after (half empty).

just did this project. Changed my mind about how I wanted route the lights 1/2 way through so it's a bit ugly....but dang....huge difference in visibility!

I saw some battery powered led strips at goodwill in Mooresville for like 6.99. Would work great for this application. They had lots of them if anyone is in the area.

I actually had something similar but between the need to replace batteries, having to turn them on when you open the safe, the limited lit area, and accidentally leaving the lights on, this is sooo much better IMO.
One time expense of $30 and 20min of your time vs buying 2-4 LED strips and batteries.

I'm going to add another strip for the right side, but happy with the result so far!

Just opened up my safe after doing this last night. About 1/2 of my pins have pulled free. I'm going to go back over it with T21/.375" staples. The LED strip is .298, so there's plenty of clearance.

Annnnnnnndddddddd.......the little splicing clips work pretty well!

Just placed my order. Thx!

Here is photo after I installed the led lights, room is totally dark.
Second photo shows the safe in totally dark room, I need to organize it better using my
homemade rifle rod type devices.

FYI: SMD 2835 Chips look very much like 3528 chips, but they are 4.6 times brighter.
They're smaller than the 5050 chips (2.8mm x 3.5mm), but at 18 LEDs per foot they are 4.6 times brighter.
Each 2835 individual LED is approx. 25 Lumens.
