Suppressed Muzzle stuffer

Probably.
But I'm hoping Silencerco has a kali compliant version already designed.
It is even less of a gun than a non gun.
Wrap your noodle around that one!

"You can stuff more than ten bullets in the clip [sic] so it's a high capacity ghost rifle meant for the battlefield and has no business on our streets!"

Is it an actual muzzleloader? How does that work? Or is it a break action like a trap gun?

$1000 is a pricey muzzie... I can buy a can, a Ruger bolt gun, and pay the stamp for that...

I wondered the same exact thing.

Whatever it is...it's not NFA. ;)

That is a freakin huge can! Looks odd. I'll gladly wait for more tax stamps. Can't imagine how dirty that can would get.

That's ridiculous. Looks like something engineered in Johnston County... I guess if you have too much money it's cool...

Or you live in CA and never thought you would ever be able to own anything with a can. I know several people back there that would think of nothing of dropping $1k on this if it lets them play with a supressor in their own back yard (not literally of course because it's CA but somewhere in the state where firearm discharge is not yet banned).

Soooooooo, if it's not a firearm and not NFA......... who's got the skills to build one to pin on an existing ML?

It does not lessen the report of a "FIREARM", so therefore not a silencer.

Similar to an air rifle with a silencer on it.

(That's my guess)

Is it not NFA because of it being blackpowder/muzzle loader?
A copy/paste of a post I made in another thread on here:

...and if you notice, they intentionally use the term "sound moderator" in most of their literature.

WHY DON’T I NEED A TAX STAMP?

The BATFE defines a silencer as a “device for silencing, muffling, or diminishing the report of a portable firearm...” By that definition, a silencer is only a silencer if it can attach to a firearm.

The Maxim 50 is built on the base of a Traditions Vortek Striker Fire Muzzleloader. Muzzleloaders are not considered firearms by the BATFE, but are instead antique firearms, a definition and difference that is very distinct.

Because of this, a moderator that is permanently affixed to a muzzleloader is not legally defined as a silencer, since it does not attach to a firearm.

50 state legal? Humph.

Upon launching the Maxim 50, SilencerCo received several immediate legal challenges from authorities and lawyers in the states of New Jersey, Massachusetts, and California. Since we have no desire to place any consumer in a situation where they may get arrested and charged with a felony because their state defines a firearm differently than the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE), we have placed orders from those states on hold and are refunding customers pending legal confirmation. We will update our customers as soon as we have multiple source verification.

But, but, but the 2a was written for Muskets!

Isn't that what they try to tell us? Yeah, ok.

Although Silencerco really should have been out front on this one. In the field they are in they don't realize those states don't care what the ATF says?
