I was just sailing along minding my own business when I was attacked by surprise. Yea kinda like getting mugged, only then you can pull your 1911 & fright back.
Be careful Brothers & sisters there be danger on the ol interweb, we must arm ourselves with weapons we can defend ourselves with like how the Hackers gain entrance to our PCs.

I will be surfing much differently than I did before. Thanks Again PB I learned a lot.

My only line of defense is a router with OpenTomato firmware, short of that I rawdog the internet with no AV, even the built in windows crap is disabled. Not a huge deal if you're careful but it's not for everyone.

Glad to hear you got it fixed.
For surfing its a live PE disk or thumb drive, surf, install portable apps when done shutdown.

Fixed a friends laptop, did a bootable Anti-virus disk, he had so many viruses, and other goodies, so it was a wipe ( bootable disk ) install Win 11 and done.
