Sweet mother of God!

Were you meaning to link something specific????

Does it go thru the custom shop where those 50 yr employees are ?

I gave up a 6" midnight blue (old polish and blue) Python back in the '80's.

(sigh) :(

I am excited too. I am a fan of the King Cobra. They stated it still uses the leaf spring but redesigned it with less parts. They claim it makes it less sensitive(or prone to fail) to full power loads.

I might have to buy one of these. Will be interesting to see what, if anything, it does to the softened Python market we've seen the last couple years.

That was my thoughts exactly.

I bet there are already waiting lists started ...

If shipping starts after Shot Show like rumored ... Jan 21-24 ... they’ll be allocated 1 or 2 per dealer unless they are top 10 customers so I see full MSRP and very limited supply thru Fall or even longer because of the cult following of Pythons from older shooters, TWD fan boys and such. Maybe Christmas of next year the market will have settled down and I’ll have the funds to buy one ...

Christmas of next year doesn't sound too bad... I'm interested now, but I'll probably change my mind by then. Haha.

I put my name in the hat for one... who knows when we will actually get them.

I once ordered a Larue OBR that took 2.5 years so... guess the wait is what it is.

Dang, that 6 inch is beautiful... But $1500 for a 2020 remake? I don't know if it's worth that to me.

I feel like I'd be better off paying a little extra and getting an original...

Which one's more valuable: a 1969 Camaro or a 2015 Camaro? You know?

Ill wait till yall buy some first. I dont want the brand, I want the true product. And Colt aint doing this as philanthropy to the firearms community. I would be surprised if they can make a python to the legendary standards of its predecessor with todays manufacturing. At least not while turning a profit, which gets into the philanthropy skepticism...I love being wrong though.

^This for me. I'll start stashing away $150/mo. and then by next Christmas I'll see if it actually scratches an itch. If I end up buying one, I'll likely part with my SP-101.

I've got some money stashed away, and I could stash away another $150 a month until Christmas of next year, but there is no way I'm going to be able to go that long without spending that money on some other awesome gun.

I had a 6" Anaconda back in the early 2000's. Best shooting gun I ever owned. But someboby liked it better then I did.
So unfortunely I let it go. :(

My Local shop says the distributors have them on allocation which means the biggest customers get one or two first. There are several on GB now with a Buy It Now Price of 2K and up. Will probably be like the Cobra. When they first came out, they were going north of 1K and now dealers can't get retail for one. BTW dealer cost is $1275 in the dealer price list.

If someone buys a new one and you’re not too far from the Columbia area, let’s do a head to head comparison against my 1981 6” .357

It came with these grips...I need an original set

I had no idea you were into fine wheelguns, as well. My estimation of you just increased hugely, little brother :D

Just got an email saying that Colt is bringing back the Python in two barrel lengths. 4.25 and 6 inch .Also the top strap will be 30% thicker. MSRP will be $1499 but expect dealers to sell at or above MSRP. Colt says they want people to shoot these new Pythons not buy them for safe queens.
