I’ve have an SWR Warlock .22 suppressor that I bought about 20 years ago and it is getting pretty leaded up. These were listed at 3.3oz new and mine is sitting at nearly 6oz! It’s still pretty quiet on a rifle but not so much on a pistol anymore. For reference, this is a sealed suppressor with aluminum baffles.

I’ve heard that SilencerCo will convert these so that they are able to be taken apart and I think I may take advantage of that. Has anyone else done this?

What is the process for shipping suppressors to and fro?

I’d say check their price…and then get a quote from ECCO Machine as well.

Hopefully SiCo would send you a label. As dumb as it is, they’re considered firearms…so shipping it yourself isn’t as easy as it used to be.

When I sent one to ECCO, it was shipped to/from me direct. No FFL involved on my end. That was maybe 5 years ago.
Yep. I’ve put them in boxes and mailed them USPS and UPS.

But legally they’re concealable firearms and a non-FFL can’t do that anymore. Pretty sure UPS/FedEx/USPS/etc all changed their policies.

I’d guess if they won’t sent a label (which technically is you shipping under their FFL), then maybe Ship My Gun would work? I haven’t read their terms to see if they mention NFA items at all.

But there shouldn’t need to be an FFL involved for any type of transfer…should be directly to them and back.

Also try soaking for a few days...maybe a few times...in Breakthrough suppressor cleaner and or Bore-techs suppressor cleaning system with pressure washer wand. I have had good success with both in dumping ounces of crud. Second Ecco.....excellent machine shop for recores. At that age with a lot of use your blast baffle is probably worn enough to warrant rebuild.

Maybe get a Ti stack with a heated treated stainless blast baffle. I have two cans Nick did that way for me. 😎

Pretty. He is a magician on a lathe
Yep. The ones he converted from a tube and stack to a tubeless design for me are amazing.

I bought an SWR Omega 30 back in the early 2k's. Several years ago I called SiCo about it over an old end cap strike and they had me ship it direct to them with the associated paperwork. Got it back in a coupla weeks and they had repaired the strike and converted it to ASR mount.
A def upgrade, IMO.. And much appreciated. YMMV..
