T1 Ammunition USPSA Championship Oct 21-22

I am going to try and staff it for them. Will not be able to shoot it tho.

Staff either shots the Sunday before or on Friday of. I cant be there either of those days. I am 126 miles away. Doing good to give them Saturday and Sunday as staff.

Way to short of notice for this match. I find out about on Saturday during the NC section state match earlier this month.

Im for staff on Sat and Sunday only. I held out strong until Jason started offering foot massages in the afternoons.

Got 400 rounds loaded up for it today.
Looking at the stages I will be doing well to not come in dead last.
I shall blame my optic if that is the case, and perhaps layer on the unfamiliar trigger and lack of grip tape.

From what I heard, there is no gaming at this match! I heard that it was a total hoser match and that you just run and shoot as fast as you can.

Shooting tomorrow. I thought about bailing just because I'm leaving for vacation on Sunday. We'll see what happens tomorrow morning.

You are just scared of 75 yard pistol shots weak hand only

Well I stunk up my first two stages ( 5 & 6), and then I catapulted into shooting mediocre the rest of the match. I guess that I should have shot the match Single Stack, instead of switching back to Revolver. Such is life...

After seeing the final results on Sunday I don't feel as bad, but I know that I could have shot the match better. I look forward to this match happening next year, and endeavor to be better prepared for it.

After some time to consider the T1 Ammunition match at CGGR here are some of my personal thoughts. I consider myself a competitor, but I was seriously contemplating not finishing the match halfway through (that though has NEVER crossed my mind before at a match). The match held no FUN to me, and that was my real problem with it. I can appreciate the technical challenge the match had, but it seemed to me like the stages were meant to dishearten the participants more than anything else.

I shot poorly (which is an understatement), but I have shot other matches poorly before and not felt that I had primarily wasted my time shooting the match (and reloading the ammunition for it). I shot the match revolver division (my primary division), so I knew that I was not going to be able to vie for any awards to begin with. If there had been a classifier stage in the match I would have felt like I gained something, but the theme of the match seemed to be how badly can we get people to shoot the match. Maybe my perspective of the match is off... I mentioned above that I look forward to the match next year. After taking some time to consider the totality of the experience, right now that could mean I look forward to taking a pass on it.
