Recently purchased the Liberty 16s model.

After waiting nearly a month and being very close to disputing the CC charges, it finally arrived.
I'm less than impressed.

It doesn't open like the video (hangs shut).
It doesn't fit a 4" K Frame Revo and is basically made from cheap plywood.
Notice how in the picture it's fully open?
Then look at how open it is in my picture. big difference.

Buyer beware. I sent an email to their support dept but based on the reviews, my expectations of a reply are low.

I had the American flag one given to me. I emailed them cause device was locked with dead batteries and the external battery pack was also inside. They said their was no other way of opening it. Went to their website and ordered another battery pack. Which I got for free with a first time customer discount. I was less than thrilled with the email response, but they did respond. NOTE**** do not give them your cel phone number for anything, you will be bombarded with texts about products daily.

You can have this American flag one if you want it.

I would think there would be a risk of the contents falling out if the door could swing to ~90°. Maybe their picture is staged in a way to better show the contents inside, but not show actual usage.

Granted, I haven't clicked the link to read a description, so I may be mistaken.

Yeah, what keeps you stuff from falling out when it's open?

Personally, I would have designed it as a sliding shelf with hidden slides and without the electronic lock.

Ok, now I want to go make one.

Move this screw towards the hinge.

Beat me to it. Those type of struts are usually adjustable, either with the hinge screws or by adjusting the power of the strut itself.

As for fitting a K frame, it looks like the guns needs to be moved to the right so the cylinder clears the magnetic lock interface on the top side.

I built something very similar years ago and it was much more difficult than I anticipated due to getting the hinges and reveals just right. Also square designs like this really stand out and aren’t discreet IMO. If I were to buy/build another, it would be one with angled sides, granted, those have less storage space inside as a result of the angles.

I have a holstered pistol hidden behind the trim panel below the cabinets in the kitchen desk area.

Magnet is behind the gun.

How difficult is it to handle the pistol from that? Like, with it partially inside of the foam, how are you grabbing it to safely remove it?
I would think a semi-circle cut out at the grip would be handy to get your fingers around the grip

I will probably do that if I can resist tossing it in the fireplace.

It won't make any difference. It's not under pressure of any kind.
Here it is disconnected.
It acts only as a "slower downer" not a piston.

What’s preventing it from opening further…take a plane or a sander to that.

It’s worse than that. I clicked the link in your post, looked at that page and closed it, nothing more. Yet somehow I have an email from them now! I hate this type of intrusive marketing.
