I have many times over the years told myself no new Sigs but this one keeps calling me. It would replace the LCP as the throw it in the pocket gun and NYC reload duty. Have all the bugs been worked out of the current production guns?

Discuss....

They seem to be working these days. Here's the thing. Heavy. Put your LCP in your pocket and add a loaded magazine to the same pocket. That gives you an approximate idea what the weight is like. I hate having that much weight swinging in my jacket pocket. The 365 is neato for IWB.

You nailed it. For IWB it’s perfect. For pocket carry it just seems too big for me. That said I don’t like a lot of weight in my pockets.

As far as shootability.... I’ve never shot a small carry gun as well as I shoot my P365.

YouTube legend The Yankee Marshall says it's the most innovative pistol evah, because its sights are embedded and its bore axis is comparatively lower.

(Hey, you did want to be talked off the ledge, amirite?)

I can't watch his videos. Interacted with the guy back in the day on TFL. He is a tool.

This may help...maybe not.

I too have considered getting one. I have a Shield that I bought a while back for my "smaller carry"...but really only carried it for a few months. I now stick with my P-07, and before that a Glock 19. I feel the P365 is just a wee bit too big for pocket carry, so that means I will be IWB carrying it. I already carry the larger P-07 comfortably, and >if< I ever really need to use it, its added capacity and size will be an advantage. So...the P365 may be more comfortable to carry...but I just cant see laying down $500+ for a new pistol, then another $100 for spare mags (which aren't cheap), $50-100 in testing self defense ammo, and another $50-100 for a new holster set up. To me, the $700-800 total cost really isn't worth it for a smaller pistol with less capacity. I don't foresee the P365 having some deep innate collectors value or as a "neat" shooter to add to the collection that will be fun on range days.

Wait a year and Sig will discontinue it. Resellers will be dumping it and then buy it. Exactly what happened with P290RS and P250.
Probably not wrong. I had $600 invested in the P290RS at one point...

I have to agree with the others its too big for pocket carry,But IWB in a vedder holters it is very easy to carry. I added a hogue slip on grip to make up for the handle issues some have mentioned in other post and it takes the gripping issue
some have mentioned away.Have seen them come up in the B/S/T section at good prices.

The J frame was in that rolll prior to the LCP. Sometimes I think about going back to it.

This is the answer.

Works when linty, works when dry, works when wet, works when the muzzle is obstructed, works when held with an imperfect grip, trigger finger is all that’s needed to work past a dud primer, round profile in the pocket doesn’t shout “gun,” very efficient balance of light weight and a capable round, decent sights for the size.

What pocket holster do you recommend. I don’t have one anymore.

If you need one quick, I have been very impressed with the Safariland 25. Sticks in the pocket well, it has a nice round profile that breaks up any cylinder outline, and it allows a quick draw. It works very well in pockets with round or pointed bottom seams (e.g. pockets in most jeans and slacks). It does not clamp into the revolver like a kydex holster, it just holds it upright in your pocket. So, it is highly unlikely to come out attached to the revolver on the draw.

Mika Holsters are the bees knees, if you want something a bit nicer and don’t mind the wait. He actually sews two different holster profiles for J-frames: a round holster for round-bottomed pockets and a square-bottomed holster for pockets that are a bit wider at the bottom (e.g. cargo pockets, coat pockets).

I highly recommend either.

from the shooting aspect it is pretty good and mine has been reliable. i’ve even shot it on some idpa style matches only a little slower than my full size pistol.

size is great but i agree w above comments that they are on the heavy side for pocket carry.

j frame or kahr are easier for pocket carry

Yeah I have crawled back inside and am looking for a new pocket holster for my 642. It is certainly the cheaper option. Crisis averted. LOL

I pocket carry my 365 every day, don't think its too heavy at all. One thing I do use is very lightweight ammo. My carry ammo is liberty defense 50gr 9mm and 11 of those are noticeably lighter than my old carry ammo, 135gr critical duty. Mine is one of the earliest ones and it has been 100% reliable from day one and Im well north of 5000 rounds now.

I carry a 365 in a DeSantis Nemesis Every day. 13 rounds of 147 FMJFP at 1,200 FPS [out of a 5 inch gun]. It has been Dead Reliable now for close to 1,200 rounds. I do not suffer unreliable guns. This is the smallest lightest 13 round 9mm I have found. The Hellcat is larger and it Is a Springfield Croation firearm.
All that to say.....We must all seek our own salvation...….Your hard earned money....you decide...the gun will do it's part.

Gosh... a 365 is too heavy for pocket carry?

I have a S&W Model 59 in my pocket right now!
Yeah but you’re a real man.

Most reviewers had plenty to say bad about the gun when it first came out. But of course only bad stuff makes the internet. Success is expected. Seems the issues have been solved. When I first handled one I did not like the feel of the slanted grip in my palm nor the smallness of the frame. I would shoot one like JR Greene offered.

Talk you off the ledge? When it comes to Sigs, I’m afraid I don’t know how to do that. Sometimes you just need another Sig.
