Disassembled the bolt on an X95 and wouldn’t you know it a pin went into hyperspace. It’s the extractor pivot pin - seems the space age polymer cone they call an extractor spring has quite a bit of power behind it.

So, I figured, no problem, surely it’s the same pin as in an AR-15 bolt. NOPE. It’s smaller than the 3/32” but larger than 1/16. I guess it’s metric, but the closest thing I can find is a #43 wire gauge drill bit, but even it’s a little loose. Maybe 11 AWG, but where the heck am I going to find 11 AWG steel?

You would think someone would sell a lost parts (pins and springs) kit, but the closest thing i can find is a full bolt rebuild kit for $50.

Any suggestions?

Maybe 5mm long, closer to 2mm OD. The Armorer’s Manual describes using a 1.5mm punch. I filled out the online contact form... let’s see if that yields results.

Wow. Why do I always try to do things the hard way? Gave them a call at 717-695-2081 and had one on the way within 5 minutes. Two thumbs up for IWI US Customer Support.

That is excellent! Thanks for keeping us updated!

So, my pin arrived. I couldn’t just put it in without measuring it.

< 3/32x3/8” standard AR-15 extractor pivot
> #43 bit = 2.257mm = 0.08885”
IWI ~= 0.0895x0.3953” ~= 2.27x10mm

I must admit, I’m a little confused by the OD being an odd metric size. I would guess at 2.25mm if it weren’t measuring about 2 thousandths larger than the #43 bit. Chalk it up to tolerances I guess.
