Texas church shooting

I smile every time. Don't start shit, won't be shit.

LOL @ "we can press charges cuz". Yeah, because walking up and assaulting an elderly person won't get you arrested in just about every state.
In FL, assault on the elderly is a felony. Just cause he handed your arse to you on a platter don't preclude that charge. Also, might want to size up people in the future.

Here's an interview with Vietnam Tom

Just saw where the pastor said that the building would be demolished. Can't imagine the pain in that community. To have 5% of your community murdered and probably every family included in the loss. Even if the news coverage is gone... it will stay with them forever. God bless that small town.

Without starting a debate on abortion does anyone else find it odd that the media, being left leaning and usually falling on the pro choice side, are counting an unborn child among the lives lost in this tragedy but any other story they wouldn't consider it as such?

Not surprising at all. It boosts the kill count which is what they want. More graves to dance on.

Oh I'm not surprised and I know why they're doing it. I just like to point out their hypocrisy whenever I get the chance.

In case not already posted.

Amazing story that MSM will ignore/downplay.

I bet you Willeford now keeps several mags loaded. Don't think perp's kevlar vest would have mattered given that Willeford was shooting rifle rounds. Props to this man - a true hero.

Great job by Willeford and the driver.

How do your skills and gear stack up? IMO, rapid response rifles and even armor should be considered if they haven't been already.

I listened to the entire interview and have to agree on the magazine issue. But bearing in mind that he changed locations in mid fight more mags would most likely been left behind, but when he said he dropped the mag in the gun and it only had one round (which meant he had 2 rounds left) I would have felt very uneasy.....

So yeah, we need more gun laws....

Colorado Springs gun store owner says Texas gunman passed 2 background checks

COLORADO SPRINGS - The Colorado Springs gun store owner who sold two weapons to the man who gunned down 26 people in Sutherland Springs, Texas says Devin Kelley passed two background checks.

Jeff Lepp is the owner of Specialty Sports and Supply, and he got a call from the ATF on Sunday night informing him that he had sold two of the weapons found in Kelley's possession the day of the shooting, according to KDVR.

The sale happened in 2014 while Kelley was living with his wife at an RV park in Colorado Springs.

KDVR spoke with Lepp, and he said his first thought was if his employees had made a mistake.

“You worry, did someone leave a blank? Did someone forget to sign something? He was not a guy who bought a lot of stuff from us. He didn’t stand out in any way. No remembered him and we asked about him right away,” said Lepp.

According to authorities, the weapons Kelley bought in Colorado Springs were not used in the deadly shooting.

From Herschel-

The American church had better wake from its coma before it’s too late. You’re a target. Learn and understand that. With a confined space, men, women and children sitting with people to the front of them and people to the back of them, limited means on ingress and egress, and all attention focused in one place, we’re sitting ducks. Wise up, folks. Do not run to call 911. It will be too late for the police to do any good. You are your own protector and the protector of your own congregants. God expects it. He demands it.

I don't know who that Herschel is, but I read it and his full article in this Hershel's image and voice...

Agree 100%. The title has been 'cheapened', because it gets slung around so much and many times, it is assigned to folks for the most minute, insignificant acts / choices they make. For example...a male celebrity can come out and announce they now identify as a woman. He goes through the surgery to change his 'parts' and the media oohs and ahhs, tripping over themselves to report how courageous 'she' is and even going so far as opining, "She's a real hero for doing this." No, he ain't.

Now, this may rub folks in my circle the wrong way....you pull up in a red truck with flashing lights to a house that's burning. Everybody on scene gives 100%; absolutely everything they've got. They go inside with a hoseline, knock the fire out and pull trapped victims from the structure. That's awesome, but that does not make anyone a hero; it makes them a good employee and servant of the citizens, because they did their job.

On the other hand, let's say a fellow is out for a jog in his neighborhood. The most exposure he's had to firefighting is dousing a pile of burning yard waste in his backyard with a garden hose. He sees a house on fire and hears a voice inside, screaming for help. Without hesitation, he runs inside, grabs the victim and drags them out of the house. Yeah; in my eyes, that man's a hero.

I believe the same is true for these two folks in Texas. Neither one of them had to do what they did; at great risk to themselves, they confronted an armed murderer, got into a gunfight and chased the killer for 10+ miles at almost triple-digit speeds. They felt a sense of duty to their fellow citizens and although not obligated to do so, they chose to make it their job to end Kelley's spree.

IMO, if there ever were any heroes, these dudes are.

That may be the way you feel, I understand and applaud it. But if you pull my family or my sorry ass out of a burning building, my happy ass will bring you a case of your favorite beer every week and invite you and family to every Thanksgiving at my place for the rest of your life! One of my best friends is a volunteer, he's a badass.

Lol. Come to think of it, can we say ass in this forum?

Christians are the target of many groups now because they represent the status quo, the establishment, morals, conservatism and belief in God and country. The enemies are external and internal, some of the hate is based solely on religious beliefs, others on just plain hate for what the Christian church represents in this nation. They are at war with us that is surely clear. We need to wake up any understand that now, and start to do what is necessary to win the war.

https://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/t...-church-shooting-victim-s-not-unusual-n819436 this “news” article really rubs me the wrong way. The writer is very anti gun. Also do not understand when life starts.
Okay, so serious question: why read them?

Mark Twain famously said, "If you don't read the news, you're uninformed. If you do, you're misinformed." That was a long time ago when any news was hard to get. Not so these days. I didn't click your link for the same reason I don't watch TV. We can complain about the moonbats all we want, but if we keep feeding them, we've only got ourselves to blame.

On the other hand, if there's material therein worth mocking, copy the mock-worthy and quote it here. BUT, don't go back there now just to do that, since we already know they suck and it'll just be you ringing their cash register again.
