Texas church shooting

This lack of informing the civilian authorities has been going on for years and years. I vividly recall two instances. One was a scumbag who was calling women on the base saying the most vile things to them. He got six, six and a kick (six months confinement, six months loss of pay and a BCD). Another was a peeping tom going around the Camp Geiger trailer park. Some guy had this absolutely stunning wife and he (the bad guy) started to climb in after her. She fended him off but that changed everything. I spotted the dumb ass walking around the trailer park. If I recall correctly, he got a general court-martial. That probably entailed time at good old Portsmouth Naval prison (which was far different then than it is today) but I don't remember. I know that in neither case was a report made to the local authorities or to their homes of record. I often wonder what they turned into.

The news makes sure they tell you that the perp had an AR in every story. They refer to the good guys gun as a rifle in almost every story I have read. I guess an AR is just a rifle in the hands of a good guy and an assault weapon in the hands of a criminal?

Wasn't there a NICS system breakdown on the Charleston church shooter? Unreported indictment or something?

It doesn't change the fact that the problem is the shooter, not the weapon or NICS system.

It does if you erroneously believe that some stupid legislation is going to prevent this sort of thing. Keep in mind the libtard sheep are bleating for Uncle Sugar to keep them safe from the Gun Humpers and the NRA. o_O

I am offended by that remark. I have never once humped my firearms. Fondled them on occasion but never humped.

Yes, it is offensive. It's also how were collectively being referred to by the leftist Regressives in their blogs. Gun Humpers with a fetish to kill lots of people really fast who value our guns more than people and it is our fault a,one with the NRA that enabled the culture that killed those church goers.

At what distance?

The National Institute of Justice (NIJ) rates and tests rifle threat rated body armor and what calibers of ammunition they are rated for in the following conditions:

1) For armor to be rated NIJ Level 3, it must stop 6 rounds of 7.62x51mm NATO Ball (147gr) fired from 15m at a velocity of 2780 (+/-30) FPS.

2) For armor to be rated NIJ Level IV, it must stop 1 round of .30-06 M2-AP (166gr) fired from 15m at a velocity of 2880 (+/-30) FPS.

3) Both require a back-face deformation of less than 44mm.

Not sure if this has been covered yet, but just saw a news flash that perp escaped from a psychiatric hospital in 2012, apparently while he was still with the Air Force.

Wait - I thought the guy with the neck tattoos and the cowboy hat was the good-guy with a gun?

The hero who stopped Sunday’s Sutherland Springs, Texas, attack with an AR-15 is a former NRA instructor

I think I just heard a liberal's head explode.

Got a lack of love for your firearms? ;)

Nope. Love every one of them.

It sounds like you are in the unfortunate position of not owning any CZ's.

Well I'm not dead yet.

If that were true then there would be a lot more dead people in this country. I doubt they actually believe that because if they did they most likely wouldn't want to piss us off. Think of the fall out if it were true.

No...he was the driver that provided transportation for Willeford and he showed an extraordinary amount of courage, as well.

Willeford was in a firefight with the now deceased sick f-er, when said sick f-er jumped in his vehicle and left the scene. Willeford, armed with a rifle, approached a pickup driven by Langendorff and told him what had occurred. Langendorff could've just sped off and not got involved...he didn't, neither did he question Willeford...just said, "Let's go", Willeford got in and they chased the p.o.s. until he wrecked.

These two dudes are the kinda folks you want in your corner...the kind that'll roll their sleeves and get s**t done that needs to be done. 'Salt of the earth' folks, imo.

That’s just stupid. When we shut down mental institutions crime, homelessness rates skyrocketed.

I seriously wonder what the actual percentage of shrink drugs are are involved.
I am starting to think it has less to do with mental illness and more to do with the drugs they prescribe for it.

I like to think that we have a few of those folks here on this forum.

Shhh... You're asking questions about stuff you're not supposed to... Guns are bad! More laws!

This is a valid point. What needs to enter the discussion is how the enormous amount of pharmaceuticals and the liberal prescribing by Doctors have occurred from 1990 to 2017.

1. SSRI
2. Benzos
3. Opiates

Big Pharma has made a killing by selling products that were not needed and did it all under legal premise. Marketing Ads that we see everyday, that should be intended for prescribers, are shown to consumers that do not have the medical knowledge to diagnose, let alone say... hey that is for me!

Now... some of these prescriptions are legit. Most unfortunately, have not been needed, and have more created more borderline cases of acting out, or interactions that would cause less than exemplary societal behavior. Imagine what would happen if the Supply Chain for these drugs dried up suddenly? The severe withdrawl symptoms from these would devastate the citizenry.

$17Billion into WV for Opiods? That is more than the GDP of WV.... sheesh.

We are in the midst of the Tangent Graph of long term use.. meaning, we don't know what decades of prescribed use is going to have because there is no case study long enough for these drugs for long term exposure.

Now with that in mind consider:

A. Do you think the Congress, Insurance, Big Pharma is going to give up their Drug Money? HELL NO....
B. Do you think by labeling these events as Mental Illness will cause the Deep State to target those that take these medicines to choke off gun ownership? HELL YEAH they will.
C. Drugs is much more lobbying money than the NRA or guns ever will be... and they are able to control the populace with feel good medicine and de facto gun control.

Just a bit of thought....

I have seen a meme several times recently that basically says that if what the left says about NRA members were true, there would only be NRA members remaining (or, there would be no left left [emoji4])

My paraphrases, but I kind of like them.

Some version of this one?

The image and numbers are often different, but the idea is the same...

Heh! The good guy with the rifle had 55 gr at 3750 fps (that's my Wolf Gold).

The good guy with the truck had 52,500,000 grains at 95 mph.

Sounds fair to me.

I am not going to even attempt the math on that one to see if you are correct and if you actually did then you got way too much time on your hands. Lol
