Thanksgiving Feast: what's on your menu

With breasts I recommend either injecting or brining. Keeps them moist.

I'll try that next time. I experimented on a chicken last weekend with a rub that turned out well so I decided to try it on these. They're both about the same weight as that chicken so I'm hoping it's close.

Turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, vegetables, gravy, and biscuits. Dutch apple pie for dessert. Chips and onion dip for the girls later while watching TV.

I did a corned beef brisket in a cast iron dutch oven last year for my FIL Irish buddy. It disappeared faster than the turkey. Beef is a good contrast to the turkey.
Yeah. I've had my fill of turkey. I've been meaning to make a beef wellington. Never had one. Maybe for Christmas.
