After stopping in to see Don @ Lucky13 this morning, I headed to GBO to meet a buddy for lunch and to hang out. About 2:00, I was headed out of town on Benjamin Pkwy when a young lady pulled out in front of me. Makes me sick but at least it's fixable and no one was hurt.

Ouch! That's a shame.

No, no, no, no no! Glad your ok. As well as the instigator. But I can't lie. I cried a little inside

I may have shot myself on the spot
This is not the first time something like this happened to me. The '63 Porsche that I spent 3 years restoring got totaled in 2 seconds. That one made me want to shoot myself....or the certain driver of a Jeep.

Damn, hate to see that. Glad there were no injuries other than feelings..

Well with that much damage to that hunk of steel, I bet they had to tow her car and total it, LOL

it makes me want to just cry, and we were just in the parking lot in front of the shop while i was admiring it, and commenting how clean and well kept it was...

for you guys that havent seen it in person it really is magnifiscent! great lines, so clean you could eat off it....
Thanks, Don. Everywhere I stopped today, people ooh'd and ahh'd over it. Oh well, it can be fixed but I'm without my fun cruiser for a while....and the Buick doesn't have heat. Guess I'll have to drive the pickup.

It was a heavily used, never washed 08 Suzuki small sedan. It was close to totaled before I hit it.

This is why I'm afraid to own a car like that. I might actually kill a mother effer for that.

You didn't install ABS on that car? Lol

Jk

I'd with Chad on this one. Good reason I don't own a nice car like that.

DS

Ouch sorry to here and very nice car. I bet the other car felt it pretty good at least with the iron in those old beast.

That's a real pisser. Their modern near worthless junker almost totaled before pulling out in front of you and you almost priceless, beautiful 1954 Chevy. Glad no one was hurt, your car can be and is worth fixing, but still a pisser.

This car has a 330 Hp SBC, 700r4, Mustang II front suspension, power disc brakes, AC, stereo, power steering, etc. It drives like a modern car and will cruise all day long at 75 MPhil. My wife and I have been to KS, OH, IN, TN and lots of other road trips in it. We'll do it again this year after its fixed......if I don't trade it for something else.

I know you don't need more commiseration but that is a tragedy, like when an immortal gets killed. The world looses so much more.

But hopefully you'll bring her back.

sorry that happen to you, main thing is you're ok and hopefully other person is too. dang nice car

Man, that's a shame! Beautiful car, and I'm glad you weren't hurt!

Pulled out in front of you...
Seriously? You can't see this thing? 18 feet long...bright-ass red...mirror chrome all over it...
These are the times I would like to be a Trooper. I'd write ditzy up for every single thing I could think of. I'd do all I could to put a serious hurtin' on that drivers license.
If she can't see this car, she can't see a school bus either.

I can sympathize because I've been there. Having owned a number of classic cars that I've restored myself I know how hard that situation can be. I had someone back into my car in a parking lot less then 2 weeks after I got it on the road.
I also commend you for keeping reality in mind. As much as it sucks to have the car damaged, it's just a piece of metal and can be fixed. Thankfully you and the other party were not hurt.

Yeah, I've been there before. Stull sucks but at least I didn't get my blood pressure up over it. It would have been ok if it had totaled it. I've got good insurance and I'm not doing the work this time.

You just can't have anything nice without someone screwin it up for you these days. Some one hit my ride when it was parked and took out the whole side. I feel your pain.
