The art of manliness

Shaving... wha's that? ???
I was gonna say. I’m sorta done with that.

...well, except for my ears on Sunday mornings. They get kind of fuzzy.

Edit: But it does look like he smells good when he’s done.

I do smell pretty... well... pretty. Lol

I’ve got a similar razor. My head is too bumpy apparently. I gently shave and remove the “high spots “
You spelled thumb wrong

With all the topography on my chin I used to bleed like a stuck pig till they invented double edged razors.

Not sure about manliness. With all that high dollar stink you probably smell like a French whore when you got done.

The whiskey you get a pass on.
Razor, 300 blades, and soap might have been $50 total.

If you gotta work that hard had it you are doing it wrong. Let me guess, they sell hair gel and crap like that in Mizzou too? :p
They might, but I dont have enough left to use it :(

In all seriousness, I still have the beard (albeit much more grey). I can get away without shaving my neck for 4 or 5 days after a good shave, rather than just shaving to get it done which looks less than desirable after a day.

The first time I saw that head I knew you were gonna have problems with it.

So do you shave your giblets with that same set up?
No. If he does they’ll look like my thumb. there Wyatt, I beat you to it

Can't grow a decent beard so I shave but I use a Gillette made the same year a quarter I was born (4th qtr 1960). Blades cost me $10 for a hundred. Get 2 weeks out of a blade and I like the morning ritual of brush ans soap lathering. Yearly cost probably around $7. Can't buy one of those modern multi-blade replacement for that. And I don't get skin irritation like I did with the multi-blade jobs.

I will say, when I was beardless and less manly, I switched to the double-edged safety blade, soap lather, and oil, and it made the experience more enjoyable. I'd do the serious shave once a week and keep up with the stubble by electric razor. No need to risk bleeding out through 25 knick cuts more than I absolutely must!

When I was Mate on the Tug Whitefoot, we did offshore taxi service taking US Fisheries observers to and from Japanese Longliners fishing for tuna. The observers told us that the Japanese vessel has a huge, hot salt water bath just off of the working deck, so that after a night of cold, wet work they could get in a hot salt water bath, then rinse in fresh water. He reported that after a hot salt water bath, no soap or oil was required to shave.
