Took the 10" 300 BO SBR and the Gemtech 2-lug can to the ENC range today and shot a bunch of subs. Really quiet, recoil free fun!

Also shot the Ruger 22 with Spectre. Good times!

I'll try and get pix added to this thread tomorrow

I was supposed to. Had plans to meet my son's little "girlfriend" (they're 6th grade) and her dad at PHA. She ended up breaking the middle finger of her shooting hand yesterday. :(

Gonna try again on the 31st.

Rained out on the 31st, but we did make it out yesterday. Was her dad’s initial exposure to silencers. I put a lot of details in the Did You Go Shooting Today thread (link to post here)...but best I can recall here are the NFA items we shot:

    22LR RAR w/ Sparrow
    CZ 455 Tacticool w/ Element 2
Mark IV 22/45 (their pistol) w/ Warlock (mine)
    GSG 1911-22 w/ Spectre
    M&P 22 w/ Warlock
    15-22 SBR w/ Spectre
    10.5” 5.56 SBR w/ Saker 556
    Glock 21 w/ Osprey 45
    9mm SBR w/ Octane 45
    PS90 SBR w/ Omega
    AR57 SBR w/ Spectre
    14” 12ga 870 SBS
    12.5” 20ga 870 SBS
14” 12ga 590 AOW (same firearm as Shockwave)
His duty-issued M4 MG (just a couple 2-shot bursts since FA is the one restriction at PHA)

Also had a new Form 1 can we tried on the 15-22, the PS90 and the AR57.

I think that’s all the NFA stuff...we did shoot a couple other pistols, mainly revolvers, without cans)

A pic and a couple short videos that I also had in the other thread:

    5D60BE88-E951-4641-B0B4-EE9BD55B6970.jpeg

Still need to hookup with @Tobrooks one day.

Really cool! I love it when kids get to shoot. We took two of my friends kids today. First time them got to shoot FA and the look on their faces was priceless! They were really fascinated with the suppressors! BW shoot me a pm later in the week, if the weather holds out we will most likely go Saturday and er......bring that PS90

I think I’ll be at Point Blank in Mooresville for Cans & Coffee on Saturday, assuming it’s still on their calendar. Brad sent me a PM back in November to say that was the next one. But I’ll shoot you a PM in the next week or two and we’ll pick a date.

Yes, yes I did shoot some NFA stuff today. A lot of repeats from the last trip, but I left the bolt 22s and the pistols at home. Took a guy with me that had never shot a silencer, or an AR. He had an absolute blast. The list, which is mainly NFA:

    1. 15-22 SBR, with Spectre II and Form 1 can
    2. AR57 pistol (SBA3) with Form 1 can
    3. PS90 SBR with Spectre II, Omega 30, Form 1 can
    4. 9mm SBR with Octane 45
    5. 10.5” 5.56 SBR with Saker 556
    6. 7.5” 5.56 SBR (maiden voyage for this one, no can)
    7. Beowulf AR
    8. He shot a couple mags through his .45 carry piece, I think it was an M&P 2.0?

It was going to be a contest between #6 & #7 to see what was more obnoxious. Even being only 7.5” with a Mas Defense riot brake, the 5.56 didn’t have a chance against the 50 Beo with a tank brake. The 5.56 basically rattled your teeth a bit, but had almost zero recoil.

Let him shoot the suppressed 9mm SBR with a mag loaded with a 115/147 rotation. He saw how much difference ammo plays in the noise equation.

We took a little video, but all on his phone. Mainly the 7.5” and Beowulf...some in Slo-Mo. He’s one of the A/V guys at church, so I’ll see what he does with it.

Met @Diverdad and his son @ PHA today.

    The list...9 stamps:
    16” 5.56 AR w/ Turbo
    7” 5.56 SBR
    4.5” 15-22 SBR w/ Spectre
    7” 9mm SBR w/ Octane 45
    PS90 SBR w/ Omega 300
    6” AR57 pistol w/ F1 can

Ended up hitting a couple clays @ 100 yards with the Turbo equipped AR, so POA/POI shift just not have been too bad from whatever silencer I was using the last time...first time shooting this Turbo.

I think they have several pics they might share, but here’s the one I put in the NFA pic thread:

    39F4FDE3-7F49-4F7D-9A29-24E2EA05A64D.jpeg

(Not a good pic, but it shows what we shot)

The AR57 was in the truck, so here’s a previous pic:

    9482F12E-CDD5-4D96-88EE-7D70FA38592B.jpeg

His FN Five-seveN was the only real handgun to send lead downrange.

Shot about 200 rounds thru the M16 and about that in a 9mm AR with a Tundra suppressor today. My first time shooting indoors in quite awhile. Had a pretty good time :)

Yep. Loaded up this for the VOD Range day:

    9C67241A-5358-479E-B9B0-781BB49B4471.jpeg

Not pictured was the 20ga SBS, a bag full of cans, and some centerfire pistols.

As is often the case, only half of what is in the picture actually came out of the truck. We shot:

    1. 12” 5.56 SBR w/ Saker 762 - started out 6/6 on steel at 100 yards...guess I’d sighted the red dot in pretty well
    2. 4.5” 15-22 w/ Spectre - several guys gave this one a run; leader of the pack was @Butter’s son (Mason?) on the dueling tree
    3. 7” 9mm SBR w/ Octane 45 - made quick work of the steel at the pistol bays; happened to have a mag loaded with 115/147, so those not familiar with silencers got a good idea of the difference between supers/subs; also ran the upper on my newly built pistol lower, and then tried @Tim’s 9mm upper on the pistol...functioned fine, including LRBHO, so I plan on ordering an upper real soon to finish the build
    4. 7.5” 5.56 SBR w/ riot brake - general consensus is this one is obnoxious :D
    5. Maxim 9 - definitely quiet with 147s and OD’s 125s; several people tried it out and enjoyed the suppression; some complaints about the trigger, which is fairly common; had several issues with the red dot...so I took it off after the first couple minutes and will try to figure it out later

All the rest of the 22s and the silencers stayed in the truck since @Jeppo wasn't there to shoot them. :(

Overall, it was a good day to be at the range.

Well not me but my kid got bored and took out the little Thunder Beast 22 Takedown on a CZ 455 and took out a few squirrels messing in trees ... they are running crazy since we lost our barn cat.

Took my son to the range today with his M&P 15-22 and I took my Savage FVSR 22lr bolt to dial in the scope. Once I did that, I looked for, and soon realized, I forgot my supressor lol.
Came home, promptly mounted it, and shot five off the back porch to check it out.
Hehehehehe...the steel is louder than the shot :D
Now I just need a dedicated 22lr can

Last I checked, that’s not an NFA item. :p

(Same reason I didn’t mention the AR pistol or Glock 45 in this thread)
