Wow. 1980. I remember Dogs Of War from when I was a kid - loved it then, but not sure how I'd feel about it now. Ever watch a movie you loved as a kid, tried watching it 20 or 30 years later and it wasn't nearly as good as you remember it?

Yup. I loved Last Action Hero and countless other terrible movies as a kid.

I read Day of the Jackal and The Odessa File in the mid-70's.

If you are talking of Dog movies, Dustin Hoffman did one called Wag the Dog which has alot of parallels to what is going on right now.
