Anyone else watching this again? Just started the other night. I recorded it and finally watched it last night. I got to commend them on the visual effects for this show. They are right up there with a Hollywood blockbuster.

First episode was good. I am not sure I will spend much more time on the series though after reading the first 5 books. The first 2-3 were good, but it went downhill after that. Book 5 was not even worth reading honestly. So unless they stray from the books significantly, I'll probably skim through this season.
 
I need to go back and catch up. I quit watching sometime during season 1 for no good reason. Hopefully my roku box knows where i left off.
 
I just watched it tonight. I really, really enjoy this show. Hopefully they can maintain the quality as the season moves along.

Still wondering how they're going to fight the seemingly god-like particle.
 
I'm into season 2 right now. Great show so far. I think the second season is better than the first.
 
Meh, last episode was ok. Seemed like a lot of "filler" action and not a lot of plot. Felt thin at best.

Always impressive how they crammed that much leftist into the reverend preacher. Progressive "church" minister, lesbian mom, anti-war protester and running clinic for the "undocumented". Can't remember if the books had all that too, but they aren't far off.
 
I really enjoyed this weeks episode. The mutiny was well done.

I'm honestly surprised it took them until the third season to introduce a gay character. Most shows these days want to beat you over the head with it ASAP. But who is the more annoying character, the lesbian preacher or the Martian Marine?

lol, the Martian Marine is growing on me finally! In the books, I think the preacher is in #3 or #4.

These last few episodes have been good, I've enjoyed them again.
 
Damn, that sucks. Production value looked high, guess they were not getting the viewership they needed.
This was better than Dark Matter and Killjoys ended up being, although both started out strong.
 
Typical SyFy, show gets to a certain production cost and they cancel it regardless of how well its doing.

For me, after the blasphemous lesbo-preacher, Jim is the most annoying character mostly because I don't buy the actor in that part.
 
My issue now is because of the late cancellation this season will end in another cliffhanger leaving us forever unsated.:mad:

Season three of the acclaimed sci-fi drama The Expanse is well underway, but unfortunately, it will be the last season to air on Syfy. The final episode will be the season finale slated for early July, Deadline reports. The Los Angeles-based production company behind the show says it will try to shop the series to other potential broadcasters or streaming platforms around town.

Same here. I hated to get that e-mail, but there's no doubt I'm keeping it now.

And I was especially glad to see Anna Hopkins join the cast this episode. Hopefully it's an ongoing thing. So hot...

It took me a little bit to remember that she was in Defiance a few years ago. I knew she was in another show I liked, but just couldn't quite figure it out at first.
 
Whoa! Just watched the latest episode and it's a winner. I don't think there's been an episode that exciting since they stole the Rocci. Definitely had me on the edge of my seat!
 
Finally got to catch up on last weeks before watching this weeks. So far so good!
Looks like they had to get a different actress to play Julie Mao though. Probably not worth it for a few flashbacks.
 
Another good episode and the next one looks good too! I did fast forward through the sermon part, so hopefully I didn't miss anything important. ;)

Not sure I remember Bobby being on the nucleus/station in the books, but it worked for that episode.
 
Well they ended it fairly well. It will be interesting to see what Amazon does with it. I'll give them at least a season.
However, I am not a fan of where the books went with the story line. So.... maybe not. :p
 
So who else is anxiously chomping at the bit waiting for season four, like a smack junkie waiting for his dealer to come home?

Also for the latest book to come out... Tiamat's Wrath was postponed again, this time til the end of March...

Have to pick this series back up next week when I start my 2 to 4 wks off my pegs due to surgery. Thinking about watching Battle Star Galacawacky (the adult version) again.

Don’t do it!
Battlestar was only good if you watched it as it came out every week...
If you watch it back to back, and don’t forget all the small details, you will see how terrible of a commander Odama was, and all the other nonsense that show tried to pedal...
Except Grace Park as Boomer, she was sooooo hot
