I heard about this show via the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast.
I am thoroughly addicted.
I have even bought all the books, and am hallway through reading them all...
Anyone else?

We watched it and really enjoyed it. It appears that Amazon has picked it up for a fourth season, so I guess I'll be renewing Amazon Prime for another year.

Yeah.
SyFy cancelled it because they are tards.
But good ol’ Jeff Bezos said “Oh hell nah”

The books are even better.
There are also several short stories.
Amos’ origin is called “The Churn”

Good stuff.

Just finished Tiamat’s Wrath.
As Keanu Reeves, the Gem Of America, would say: “Whoah!”

Really, really good stuff.
Ties a lot of disconnected threads together.
Probably their best work.
Can’t wait for book #9

Well...I can't wait!

Final season! Noooooooooo

Anither season? cool I thought it was done.

If you have not read Heinlein's "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress", do. it reads like a prequel to this show.

Enjoyed the show, loved the books. New season starts in a bit

I think the last book comes out in November. IIRC the last season of the show is intended to cover the last three books of the show. I have no idea how they're going to pull that off.

Yeah the books are WAY ahead of the show…
Last novel comes out later this year,
Then next year a compilation of all the short stories comes out- this includes “Drive” Solomon Epstein’s story of how he accidentally created the Epstein Drive, “Churn” which is Amos Burton’s origin story…
There is also a graphic novel that shows a lot of Miller’s back story, Amos as a kid, not exactly his origin story, and Holden as a junior officer in the navy

Sounds awesome! I think there's already at least one short story collection out (I think it includes "The Butcher of Anderson Station", maybe?). I'll have to go buy that while I'm thinking about it.

I have no idea why, but The Expanse universe really sucked me in. Maybe it's the "realism" of not being teleporting across the solar system in seconds and such. Going to suck to see it end. 😞

You can find the short stories including Butcher of Anderson Station. Most you can find online for free. I just bought them on iTunes, but I also collect the hard cover books, and have most of them signed by Ty Frank and Daniel Abraham…
The special collectors editions are worth like $300-500 each

Here is a good video relating to the science of "The Expanse". Most accurate show out there science wise.

Ok, I am such a fanboy of this show.
There is a HUGE Easter egg in season 6.
But the were retarded in how they made it-
You can ONLY watch the Easter eggs- 25 minutes of a side plot called One Ship, on a phone, tablet or computer.

go to Amazon video on your mobile device
(WILL NOT WORK ON TV!!!)
Pause the show
Click on X ray
Click on behind the scenes
Watch each 3-5 min clip per episode
There are 5 episodes in the One Ship arc

Yes, I am a nerd.
Yes, I am comfortable with that.

Great find, will definitely check out the Easter egg. I felt like they were setting up some side stories, but the season felt ridiculously rushed, especially the final episode. So many questions.

It was a fabulous show, and in 4K. The cast was awesome, great picks. Cara Gee totally needs her own spinoff! I think Shohreh Aghdashloo fully came into her own with her role as well, should have her own spinoff or a big part of any spinoff with Gee.

well, thats the thing-
There are still 2-3 books that have not been explored yet. Serious plot developments.
The showrunners said that while this is the final season, they are more taking a break than definitively ending the show.
So, let's hope that we get 3-5 more seasons.

The only thing there is the next book takes place 30 years later. Even with the anti aging drugs that would be hard to portray.
