Looks nothing like a Miura, imo.

Looks like a more modern Daytona coupe. Which came out before the Miura.

Wonder how much they will cost??? I think if you ordered one they were around 500k.

This is probably the largest dealer in the US selling Superformance vehicles. I'd look at their inventory, and in particular GT40 replicas to start to get an idea.

Immediately thought of this:

Sorry to those who like the car!

I’ll admit that it is attractive. But Ford is infamous for dangling steak in front of its starved lions of fans. “Hey lookie what we can build.” Dangle dangle at the end of a stick and string in front of everyone’s faces. YOINK...pulled it back fast. “Oops! Looks like no car for you!”

Looks slick, I like it

Very first line in the article:

“A stunning Ford sports car concept from 2005 will finally enter production in a couple of years, but Ford won’t be the one making it”

No guarantee from that line. "A couple of years" is one of those timelines that can be punted every "couple of years."

My bigger grief is that most of Ford's cool cars like this one are so far out of the realm of possibilities for most people. It's for the Jay Leno's of the world.

But isnt that most exotics and sportscars?
Few can afford 100k+ cars

I realize I may be reaching across a canyon with this comparison, but I’ll offer it anyway.

Take the Camaro. Chevy teases some concepts of the newer body style before it came out. The public ate it up. Bam, we’ve got a cool looking car that pretty much everybody can drive.

Dodge: they toyed with the Challenger revival. Now it’s on the road.

Ford: they tease the Bronco. They tease souped up Mustangs with 1000 HP. They play BS cat and mouse games with the Ranger (I know it’s coming back out—but did it really need to go away???).

I guess I’m just a little butt hurt and gun shy with Ford. I used to bleed blue. But they bore in comparison to other manufacturers lately. I think part of it is they’re afraid to let their designers do what they’re paid to do: be creative.

Ford is not building this vehicle. Superformance is, and I've ridden in a few of their hot rods, and spent some time at Olthoff's Racing in Mt Ulla NC who builds and installs engines for Superformance.
This will not be a disappointing venture.
Expensive? Yes.
Disappointing? Never.
