My kids and I love paranormal/horror movies and my oldest told me about this series on Netflix. Pretty good overall, with some nice twists. Does bounce around between the past and present but not hard to follow. Anyone else watching this?

Oh, and Kate Siegel plays a lesbian in it

We just finished it up last week. Pretty good series, really creepy at time and a few good “jump scares”.
 
Heard it was great. Couldn't watch it. Tried. Forced myself to watch 3 episodes. Bored to death...
 
Just watched the first episode.
Goose bump raising scene at the end. A good hook to keep watching.

You’ll enjoy it. Very well done. There is even talk of making a mixed spinoff and sequel.
 
I knew that gave killed familiar but older.
"Young hugh" the dad. Elliott from ET.
Makes me feel old.
But I also remember a young Timothy Hutton in TAPS. (A younger, rounder Tom Cruise was there too.)

We just got finished binge watching this on NetFlix. It was, in a word, awesome.

Creepy, cinematic and touching at points. Very well acted.

I will say that the first episode I wasn’t sure about. It’s 2 hours long and the other 9 episodes are and hour each. But I was forewarned that it sets up everything and if you watch the second episode you’ll be hooked. Good advice I’m passing on to whoever gives it a chance.

I’ve read that they’re going to make a sequel or spin off. Done right, it could be awesome but sequels usually fail to impress.
